But yeah Thraxy just described exactly how the quality of the beer is.. The money you get from returning it to the shop is greater than the price of the actual beer.

Well, I avoid in any possible way of any Lager beers made in Scandinavia. There is couple exeptacions but mostly they're all mass produced s**t that tastes like soda water with a hint of bad aroma. I know Sweden and Denmark have some good beers but theres not much.

Yeah, but isn't that something you can say about 80% of all mass produced beer in the entire world? Every American beer I've ever tasted was like weak piss (because I've only tried mass produced crap like Budweiser), the Dutch aren't much better with Heiniken and even Germany (beer mecca of the world) has a long series of stale flavored mass produced crap (I'd challenge anyone to say they truly enjoy a Padburger Export).

Don't get me wrong. I agree on the Danish beer. One of the few ones I like is Carls Special. It has to be from a keg though. It tastes utterly ruined coming from a can.

There are quality beers and "beers". I can't say they taste good because they taste bad.
Im not an American but I've found much of beers produced by them which are like real beer.
I personally found English an Belgian beers the best but I have found some ok Swedish beers too.

Do you guys have a big craft beer culture? That's really taken off here over the last 20 years or so. Sam Adams kicked it off, and they've now become "big brewing", and there's hundreds, if not thousands of small players making some damned good beers.

Most of the really good beer in Denmark is made from small breweries, but hardly ever make it on the greater market since the supply is so limited.
