Dee Reynolds: [discussing high taxes] Why don't you try voting for once?
Mac: And what? Vote for the democrat who's going to blast me in the ass? Or the republican who's going to blast my ass? Either way, politics is all one big ass blasting.

I would like to see a ticket of Herman Cain and Allen West if only for the entertainment value of watching a significant proportion of Republican heads exploding on the way to the polls.

Right, because Republicans are racists. Even though it's the Democrats who founded the KKK, fought civil rights legislation and continually insult blacks by insinuating that they can't make it without their help. Your comment is ridiculous and offensive.

Yes, a significant portion of them are. I give you the David Duke wing and the Nixonian "Southern Strategy" of the Rpublican Party.

Blah, blah, yeah modern Republicans are such good friends of minorities. For example, just look at how they work so hard to make it better for all citizens to be able to fulfill a citizen's duty to vote. No wonder minorities flock to the Republican Party in such huge numbers.

Only because some can't handle reality.

I'm not going to argue with you dpete. I'm sure you are a fine fellow and I apologize for being offended by your first reply. I promised myself a long time ago that I wouldn't get into political arguments at this forum, and made an error in judgement by commenting in this thread.

                Snus is awesome!!

Actually I agree with most of the above though I think there is no need for any apologies and I'd also quibble about that "fine fellow" remark. Perhaps that is applicable sometimes but unfortunately not always though I'm working on it. Apparently not hard enough. I've an Oden's Extreme portion working right now so I would be all in favor of a Snus Truce. Peace, brother.

                    The Look:

Joe, Republicans had to resign because of taking photos with their shirt off and other sex scandals, that is why people are asking Weiner to resign as well. Plus, he blatantly lied the whole time to the press until eventually there was no way he could hide it any more. Why are you defending someone like this? Sure he is no different than the republicans, but does that mean that this is acceptable? Just because Bush started wars and signed the patriot act, does that mean Obama can do the same and not get any heat for it? I fail to see why there is sch a constant double standard where the left goes "Repus did it first!".

And remember Clinton, lying under oath. There is a trend of these people lying, even under oath, directly to their constituents and to the media and even to their own family members. Stop defending these kinds of people Joe, you didn't spend all that time protesting in the 60's just to retire as a pro-establishment chearleader who defends scum like those whom you previously protested against.

Re: the title of this thread about not casting stones (I know it's from the examiner, not Joe)

Democrats who sign off on neocon legislation shouldn't cast stones at republicans. You can't continue to pretend like dems don't want the patriot act when they keep renewing it and expanding it. You can't pretend they are anti-war when they grow the war effort and start new wars. You can't pretend they stand for the worker when they do nothing but spend the middle class's (read as:worker's) money on entitlements. You can't pretend they don't support torture when they continue to allow rendition. You can't pretend they want Gitmo closed when it remains open. You can't claim they are pro-socialized healthcare when they just sign laws mandating that everyone buy it from private health care companies etc.

The democrats have zero room to be talking about "He who is without sin should cast the first stone", because they are all doing the same shit they pretended to hate the repulibcans for. Dems wanted to cut medicare = republicans are outraged , now republicans want to cut medicare = dems are outraged, Republicans want health insuranec mandate and Romney style health care = dems protest it as evil, Obama wants health insurance mandate and Romney style healthcare - reps protest it as evil. It's just a constant back and forth and both parties are equally to blame.

Please vote Ron Paul in 2012, not because he will save us or fix the country, but because it is a vote against the existing establishment and that is where we need to start.

Liberal Planned parenthood has done a good job aborting quite a few black babies. That's about as racist as you can get.

The problem with this thread is that more dems are calling for a Weiner resignation than are republicans.

I hope he stays around as long as he can, this makes for good TV. Plus I am sure more women will come forward.

In my state he actually won most if not all districts.

He is however just another greaseball politician. Not anything like Ron Paul.

No he stands no chance. They wouldn't run him. He essentially implemented Obamacare before Obama even thought of it and on that basis alone the GOP won't pick him, because their whole strategy is to blast Obamacare when it comes out in 2014 and make it look like everything is his fault. Romney has no room to talk so that (huge) issue would be off the table, and I think for that reason alone he won't be able to win, him being president takes away one of the biggest talking points for the rpeublicans which is bashing obamacare.

The reality is that Obamacare will change some things in 2014 and some will be good but some will be bad, and the plan for the GOP is to stress the bad, and the plan for the dems is to stress the good. Romney ruins this tlaking point so it would majorly disarm them and I don't think they will take that risk.

Some female Zoomba instructor just came forward with new info about him. New wpictures have surfaced and the entire media, especially on the left, is asking him to reisgn. He says he won't but the pressure is too big, this scandal is growing every day and more people are coming forward, he is going to have to be forced to resign I think, right or wrong.

WEre there any plus sides to Romney's healthcare or has it been a disaster? With the 22% percent unemployed/underemployed the whole Obamacare is going to look really good for many. This is about the only thing in Obama's favor, If Romney finshes the debate by just saying I thought of it first and it will need to be tweaked but let's move on to the economy now he will take the lead.
