Obama thought that by having a bust of Churchill in the White House, kids in America would be tempted to start smoking cigars. So he sent the statue away.
Then he leaned back in his chair, lit up a Marlboro, and began signing more anti-snus legislation.

First I've heard of this story. Can't say I'm particularly upset by it, tbh.
The whole political "special relationship" is a load of BS any way, just two governments using each other for their own means. Not a very healthy relationship, in my mind.
Obama seems like a bit of spoiled child at times, and our government seem like pathetic suck-ups for trying to win his approval all the time. They should just move on - our countries are never going to be enemies, and it's healthier to disagree on stuff whilst agreeing on other stuff.

I agree somewhat.. I think that as far as countries go we the US and England do have, let's say, a unique relationship. Either way I think it just shows low class more than anything else... Just bugs me...
Britain should stay a million miles away from the US politically. It seems that US foreign policy is to police the world and Britain is its little annoying yapping lapdog. There have been two serious wars that have should really have been Americas fight only. America is big enough and ugly enough to look after itself.
I'm f***ed off with Britain soiling its good name by prancing all around the world dropping very expensive ordnance on it - especially when there are very serious cuts here. Britain should stay out of things unless it affects Britain.

ABW - I appreciate the sentiment.
No problem Frosted and I hear what your saying... Trust me we here in the USA are sick of babysitting the rest of the world.. We are good to go with what we got right here and you are right... We can take care of ourselves... England having a good name? Well that's up for debate...
