Anyone have streaming netflix? Good titles to recommend?

I love popping in a GES portion and watching a good movie. Currently watching Reindeer Games.

Anyone else use Netflix streaming have any good suggestions for truly good movies?

EDIT: to change title to more generic.

We all know it's difficult to find movies on Netflix outside of their very limiting recommendation software. So this thread is now for people to share their recommendations and viewing history of Netflix.

Depends on what kinds of movies you like. "Full Metal Jacket" is a classic and on streaming (http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Fu...?trkid=2361637)

And if you haven't seen it, "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" is awesome (http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Lo...?trkid=2361637)

I watched The Big Nothing with Simon Pegg last night and it was pretty damn good. Fairly obscure indy movie. I love any movie that dude does.

I loved the first couple of seasons. After that it got REALLY weird and improbable.

I guess I should have added that I am not much of a comedy fan. I am more into drama/action. Movies that tell a good story. I like a lot of indie movies but lately I have been fascinated by some of the foreign films I've seen. Slumdog Millionaire was awesome.

So was Hurt Locker, and both of those were pretty popular.

It just seems extremely difficult to find truly good movies lately.. Especially weeding through the crap on streaming netflix.

Netflix is great. It is how I became addicted to Dexter. Although only the first two seasons are on it right now, but it many ways season 1 is still the absolute best season.

I could go about recommending movies, but maybe knowing what you like would help.

TNG was my favorite. I grew up with TOS and even then thought it was hokey.

Ok, here are a few movies I like:

                            In no particular order.

                            28 Days Later
                            Hurt Locker
                            Slumdog Millionaire
                            Lord of War
                            Fight Club
                            True Grit
                            Intacto
                            Children of Men
                            Shadowboxer
                            Running Scared

There are a ton more but I can't think off the top of my head or without looking at my DVD collection, so this will have to do. Really mostly darker movies, some foreign, but all well written and well acted. Some pretty dark and violent.

                            TV Shows:
                            Lost
                            Prison Break
                            Dexter
New Amsterdam (I know it was only 1 season but it was awesome!)

I do have quite a few in my queue to watch, like Syriana.

They probably have limited agreements on some of these shows. Dexter especially being on a premium channel (Showtime) is probably like that.

We are under a contract with Dish Network till the end of this year and at that point we are abandoning all cable/satellite TV service. We are going to use Netflix in combination with Amazon VOD, Hulu, and Itunes for our TV watching. Also probably get an antenna on the house for local HD networks.
