    Exactly.
And you mean to tell me that if that bitch came and said "Let me suck your cock!" you wouldn't say yes?

I guess I'll finally say something about this. I didn't follow one single detail of the case, one minute of the trial, nor did I read a single article about Casey Anthony. Because I don't give a flying ****. There are a million atrocities being committed by human beings against other human beings right this very instant. Truly horrid things are happening to men, women, and children worldwide, right now. Imagine if you could somehow bear witness to all of them simultaneously? What a horrible thought. I didn't devote an ounce of effort to paying this case attention out of respect for these millions of nameless, faceless victims worldwide being brutalized every minute of the day and receiving zero recognition, much less any "justice". That, and there are far more important things happening in the world every day than some bitch who gave shaky testimony to allegations that she killed her daughter. The media sensationalism surrounding this case, and, quite frankly, the disgusting degree to which most Americans were inexplicably captivated by this bullshit really annoys me. There are things happening right now that are changing world history, and there are millions of people in various states of despair, oppression, and conflict that we completely ignore in favor of this tabloid bullshit. I suppose it's unarguably self-righteous of me to say so, but I'm glad I don't know shit-all about this broad and I'm glad I don't give a shit. That felt good to get off my chest.

That's a perfectly reasonable approach, and pretty close to my thoughts. The only difference, is I do care if proper Constitutional procedure was followed. I'm not sure why, cause there's fsck all I can do about it either way, but it's interesting, and will either make me feel better, or bitchy depending on the outcome :^D This one made me feel better.

If we don't care about the senseless death of a young child, then why should we care about a million? I might have taken your approach many years ago, but this case touched me and millions of other people, and I don't se that as a bad thing. If it gets people to be more aware and caring of the most vulnerable in our society, then I see nothing wrong with that.

People's attention to this case has nothing to do with being "more aware and caring". It is blood lust and feeding frenzy, nothing else.

Because we do know a few details about this particular case or we think we do there seems to be more of a human element to it which makes it more distressing...
