    Google Plus, facebook killer

EDIT, READ THIS FIRST: To send an invite I need your email address so please PM me with it. Thanks.

So Google+ is the new facebook rival launched by google that is still in it's pre-launch phase, they are letting a small group of people in and opening it up slowly but I just got an invite from this guy I know who works at google here locally and have been playing with it all night, and I gotta say it's pretty sweet.

I hate facebook and do not participate in myspace, twitter, etc etc, but Google+ is definitely the best out of all of those, mainly because it is way better about privacy and has multiple degrees of separation and ways of stopping everyone's bullshit from spamming all over your wall with shit like "pokes" and farmville and other such nonsense.

Anyways, it's still invite-only but if anyone wants an invite let me know, I need some people to test it out with and I don't know anyone who is on it currently.

    Some cool features:

-Circles: It has these things called "circles" which are like groups, and you can have one for your family, one for your co-workers, one for shitbags etcs and when you post things you can choose which group gets to see it. Pictures of you partying last night, choose to only share it with your friends circle but not your co-workers circle. Pictures of your daughter naked in the bathtub, post to your family circle only so pedophiles like PP don't get a hold of it. And best part is that no one knows what group they are in so your friends on G+ don't know if they've been placed in the "never share shit with this guy ever" circle. This also helps because you can choose what circles can post to your stream (G+'s version of your wall), that way if you have a friend that posts everything on their mind constantly you can mute them out and not have them spam up your wall.

-Data Liberation: Unlike facebook, deleting your profile and all your pics is an easy two click process and doesn't require a waiting period or any of the other tricks that facebook uses. So you can self destruct your profile whenever you want.

-Photo editing: You can edit your photos right from your album, correct color or add other effects just by clicking on your pics.

-+1: There is this new thing called +1 which is the same as "liking" or giving a thumbs up on people's comments or posts, as well as other things like stuff you find while searching on google. This way you can upvote your friends funny post talking about how Obama sucks without it reposting and spamming all over your wall like it does in facebook. Snuson should adopt a +1 extension to the site just like they have a "like us on facebook" extension.

Anyways, there's a bunch of other cool stuff but mainly it's just cleaner than Facebook and more user friendly. It also has a bunch of built in features in that it acts also as a twitter type interface where you can do the whole #Obama sucks or @yourmom etc. And on your phone you can also "check in" places and post your location (not sure why you would want to do that but it's popular). So it consolidates all of the big social media features into one profile which is kind of convenient if your into that sort of stuff.

Check it out if you want, to take the tour of some of the features:

If anyone wants an invite let me know. And if anyone else happens to already be in than PM me your username so I can add you to my snuson circle.

        Send me an invite.
I want to test it out.
I'm surprised I didn't get an Invite since I got one when gmail was in testing. :/

Didn't Google already try this twice, with first with Orkut and later Buzz?

Me too, I was even one of the beta Google Voice testers (still use it, love it, their voicemail transcription is an endless source of entertainment).

That is pretty cool. I hate facebook because of the privacy issues and bullshit.

I have Facebook but only work friends. I use it to keep track of what everyone is doing and never post.

Not my thing, but I welcome competition for idiotbook. Idiotbook's a security nightmare, and you constantly have to check your settings to make sure they didn't dick something up. I hope Google kills them, and makes idiotbook the low rent backwater Myspace became :^)

I had a HUGE problem with Facebook in that my info leaked onto Google even though my privacy settings were 100%.
Can you ask your mate Sgreger if this will be the case with Google+

I love Facebook, but I'm an exhibitionist who doesn't care about privacy!

Who knows what might happen, but saying that Google is going to overtake Facebook is like saying Linux is going to overtake Windows. Just my opinion of course...

If there's still a couple kicking around, I'll take an invite. Site says they've temporarily exceeded capacity, though.
