My girlfriend is from Germany! I've had Wieselburger, and a couple other German ales.

Oh, she also taught me "prost" but I pronounced it wrong and said "boobs."

Being at a table of Germans at the time everyone got a kick out of it. haha.

Also, Guinness is another favorite of mine as well. So I suppose I like stouts also.

It is hard for me to really pick out a favorite beer. I like trying new things so most of the time when I go buy beer it is something I have either never had, or only had once or twice. I love experiencing as many different brews as I can, some I like, others...meh. If I had to pick a favorite it would be great lakes-blackout stout. Perhaps if it wasn't seasonal I would feel differently, but I look forward to its realease every year.

Currently I am enjoying Dogfish Head, Raison Detre...interesting brew. I doubt it will hit my list of favorites, but it is good and very unique, like most of Dogfish Head's brews tend to be.

I'm a sucker for a good IPA. Luckily Florida isn't in short supply of good breweries here locally.

Drinking a Cigar City Brewery Jai Ali IPA. Last night I went to Intuition Aleworks and had their craft brew "I-10 IPA."

Good stuff.

I'm not sure where you are in FL, but their brewery tap room is a great stop. The Jai Alai White Oak is awesome pulled off the tap. Very similar but with brighter flavors. Cigar City Cuban expresso brown ale is killer as well.

My go-to has been jockamo IPA from Abita followed by Sierra Nevada and Anchor Steam. Anything Samuel Smith and since Erdinger was mentioned, the dunkle is very nice.

I love beer! I've been meaning to start a beer thread but I'm lazy after work. Glad someone else did. I love all kinds of beer with the exceptions of Stouts and Porters. I'm a sucker for strong beers, and all types of Bavarian, Belgian, and American small craft beers in particular. Some current favorites by type...

Weizenbock - Strong German wheat beers
G. Schneider and Sohn Aventinus
Ayinger Weizenbock and all the rest of their beers
Weihenstephaner Weizenbock and all the rest of their beers

Belgian beers
Anything by St. Bernardus, especially the Abby 12 and Tripel
Piraat Tripel
La Chouff Tripel
Westmalle Dubbel and Tripel
Trappistes Rochfort - anything from this monestary on very rare occasions, it's expensive as shit

American IPAs
Russian River Pliney the Elder - one of the very best beers in the world! Not easy to find so if you see it, buy it. Also, any beer from them is more than worth trying
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA - amazing. I bought a 120 Minute IPA the other day and didn't realize it would be $10 for 12oz. I am going to age it for a couple years

Oh there is so many, depends on time of year. As i get older i like the buds, etc less.

Right now i'm drinking a lot of Leinenkeugel's Honey Weiss. Moose Drool by Big Sky Brewery is a good brown ale. Also enjoy a Breckenridge Brewery Vanilla Porter.

I have a good friend who has been homebrewing for a while now and he makes some good brews. I taste test for him on a regular basis

So tonight I am enjoying Dogfish Head, India Brown Ale (I am currently trying to experience everything by this brewery that I can). This one is quickly moving up on my list of favorites, fantastic beer!!

When I was at my parents house in France one Christmas, I went to a friend of mine from Ireland who happened to own a hotel there. His usual welcome of "would you like a wee drink" was always welcome. I asked for a Kronenbourg because I used to drink it in England and quite liked it. So he pours me a half litre of this stuff and after 7 of them I find myself singing Irish songs quite loudly and fell out of the hotel at closing time with my disgusted parents.

What I didn't know until the next day was that Kronenbourg in France is a lot stronger at 6% proof whilst in England it's 5. Mark my words, that 1 percent makes a hell of a difference to your dignity.

Lol, so last week I went to a bar that was offering Lake Erie Monster (a 9% IPA) at four bucks for a 22 ounce glass. Lets just say the end result was me, falling out of my bar stool, trespassing on private property, locking myself in a cage, and driving a HUGE tractor drunk (okay maybe I wasn't driving it, but it certainly looks that way in the pictures). Ahh beer, amazing the things it allows a person to do!! lol

Carlsberg is a good, crisp lager. I mostly enjoy it overseas, especially in Asia because they brew it everywhere but the USA. Over here it costs $11+ for a 6 pack. I don't pay that money for European lagers.

On the topic of %......I am often disappointed with beers that go over 10-ish because they lose their balance of flavor and get less.......ummmmm........beery.

I like a nice balance of flavor in a beer (within specific styles, for example......ipa is hoppy so just hops with no other flavor to balance or lift the hop is crap, but the profile of the beer is to be hop dominant....... know what i mean vern?) and I will drink those balanced flavor beers again and again.

Man....and I am sober as a bird.
