I recently discovered iced coffee -- it's wonderful. I drink it plain. The flavor complements snus perfectly.

I use a 50cc KoolAid scoop. Every 50cc makes 5 cups(to my liking). Using a teaspoon can introduce error, and it's more work.

Take a look in antique shops for a burr grinder. If you keep your eyes open, you can find some good deals.

I'm currently using Aldi preground coffee cause I'm broke. It's surprisingly good for 34oz @ $5.30, but not exceptional. I'd be pleased if I were served that at a diner. I'm also using a Hamilton Beach electric perc. Makes better coffee than an auto drip imo.

My /preferred/ setup is this... 8 O'Clock French roast whole bean coffee ground before being made in a French press. I have an Armin Trosser grinder with Zassenhaus guts. My Zassenhaus fell apart after 15 years or so, and the Armin ground too slow, so I combined the parts. French press makes my favorite coffee, but it's harder to clean, and you have to make several small batches instead of one big one, so it stays warm.

I want to try Turkish coffee. I don't know if it was someone here that mentioned it, but it looks great. It's ultra ground coffee, and put directly in the cup with water, and you drink the whole thing.

Frosted, this Delonghi is a brilliant accompaniment to Lavazza coffee...

You know what, I looked at that but for some reason decided to go for this. It's pretty good - better than the glass ones.

Well, you can always have a change at some point. I swear by Delonghi.

Waste of money and resources imo. You get a second rate cup of coffee for pure ease of use. A French press is cheap, and available at Target. It'll make some of the best coffee you've ever had, and it's only a mild nuisance to clean. Not terrible at all if you're only drinking a couple cups per week.

I used to use these for espresso (they can't make decent espresso) and if you want a normal cup of coffee you just add water.

One thing I follow is to not clean my coffee apparatus hardly at all. I usually just rinse my stuff under hot water. I'll clean with soap approximately quarterly, but it always takes awhile for it to recover. It goes against all the "professional" advice, but to my taste, a less than throughly cleaned maker makes better coffee. I've talked to others who have said the same, so it might be something for you guys to consider. It's easier, AND better :^)
