It's bloody hard work. We're on our second one in a short space of time - the youngest, she's 17 months now and I'm utterly fed up with it. The constant crying and not sleeping for the past 4 years is pissing me off.
The first baby is alright because you've never done it before but the second time around it wears a bit thin.

    However,

Now that my boy is nearly 4, he's amazing. He can reason without crying at every opportunity - he's got a great sense of humour and he's bags of fun.......and he sleeps like a log these days.

If any of you two have got a 'sleeper' - you are truly blessed.

I JUST GOT PEED ON AND I FRUCKING LOVE IT!

The thing is we have been kinda worried about him in the poop-pee department as he hasn't had very many dirty diapers. I mean, basically half or more of the diapers I have changed have been duds but I changed them anyway because of the circumcision.

      So, YAY!

*not counting the first few with the black sticky poo diapers.

        Congrats again!

        Very cute....

Sticky poo is bad but the "man shit in a diaper that squirts out the back" will be worse.......

God I hate the sound of a crying baby. I do so so so much better when I can communicate verbally with children.
I'm gong to do my best to make sure Maya is an only child. Don't get me wrong now. I love her, but I couldn't imagine starting all over again with another one.

Is he being breast fed Tim. There won't be much poo or wee in the first week because the mothers milk isn't properly coming through yet and he'll cry like a good 'un until it does.

True story - somebody we know wondered why their baby wasn't pooing. It was a couple of weeks until anybody spotted that it didn't have a hole for the arse.

              O_o
I can't even fathom the complications associated with that problem.

All they did was get him to hospital and made one lol.

Yeah, he is being breast fed but the "material" we got from hospital said we should still see about 3 dirty diapers evey 24 hours. The babies nurse said the exact same thing as you though, say when the breast milk comes in we will get to see more BMs. It's just we are new at this and when you read something like that from the hospital you can't seem to get it out of your mind.

As for as having another.... I am still of the mind that one is enough. I will be able to provide more to one than multiples.

                  Although, you never know.

That is crazy about the non-assholed kid. I couldn't imagine that conversation/story when he/she gets older.

That will be a gift if that child grows up to go to prison.

Things are going well. Really weird to have something that depends on you for everything. (My cat is waaay easier. LMAO)

Glad it's all going well, friend! Don't put TOO much on the literature and diaper counts. Our boy is now a whole 9 days old and we have gone through the same thing. He didn't want to nurse the first day or two and we worried a bit, but now he's eating like a champ and finally hitting a good sleep cycle. We still only get two bombs or so a day... Plenty of wet ones though. Gotta figure, at the rate they are growing, there isn't a whole lot of waste... Everyone can tell you are really enjoying being a parent and no-one is closer than you and momma. If either of you see or feel there is something wrong, that's a different story, but as long as he is eating well and sleeping well... Holding a good temp, I say you guys are doing great! Best wishes to you and fam.

                          Our boy:

Great pictures guys. I used to use my little finger as a pacifier too. When my daughter was young, I'd take her out without a stroller to save weight, and hassle. I'd carry her like a football, and put my little finger in her mouth :^D

Good looking kid ya got there Tim.
Everyone says I'm going to miss feeding Maya and changing her, and having to depend on us for everything. I don't think I will. I can't freaking wait until this kid can at least use the bathroom by herself.
I hate the sound of a crying baby almost more than anything. I've never been good with infants. I'm great with kids, but not babies. I love my kid more than anything I could ever have imagined. But I'm more of a protector. Like some kind of insane samurai. The small stuff doesn't come easily for me.
