Me too. Norway is such a small country. I don't know if you can imagine it. Norway counts 5 million people. 1 500 000 of those live in the Oslo area. When something like this happens, almost everyone knows someone who knows someone... I'm glad I wasn't ther today, becuase I walked through the area 24 hours earlier...

There is now confirmed 7 dead in Oslo, and another 15 seriously hurt. 10 are confirmed dead at Utøya, but many Are missing. Some have probably drowned, after attempting to swim from Utøya to the mainland.

The police is searching through the suspect's apartment in Frogner, Scandinavias most expensive resodental area.

Edit: Yes, I saw the press conference live. Stoltenberg has dealt with this in a very good way.

The police have found undetonated explosives at Utøya. The man was shot by armored police, and that may have stopped him from blowing up the Island. Around 700 people was at the Island, of which around 500 were under the age of 18. The camp is arranged by the labour party, and has been arranged every year since the 70's. I hope this was a new nazi to be honest. It is likely, as the HQ of the labour party, the labour party's summer camp and the oil and energy ministry was affected hardest. For those of you who doesn't know much about Norwegian politics, the labour party is the biggest and most immigrant-friendly party in Norway. If it's one thing new nazis hate, it's immigration.

WTF is wrong with people?! I can appreciate wanting to limit immigration, but you don't win many friends blowing shit up, and it destroys any support they may have had :^S

              I agere.

The police have now said that the guy was active in a right-wing community in the Greater Oslo Area. He was shot, but he wasn't fatally injured, as he has been speaking to the police for about an hour. An area of about half a square mile is closer around his apartment building. All neighbors Are ordered to find hotels to live in, as they suspect that there Are explosives in his apartment. We do not have death penalty in Norway, which I like, but he can Get the life sentence. I hope so.

21 years. But you can Get something called "forvaring". In that case, you're not given a specific sentence. You'll be set free when psyciatrists says you're no danger to the public. In that case, you can die in prison.

Anders Behring Breivik. The police have reveiled his name!

Edit: Frosted, you're correct. Tv2 News said that the police have confirmed it's that guy. I can't believe he's done this on his own.

Terrorists in Northern Ireland did exactly this for 30 years - they operated in extremely small cells of one two or three people.

I was nearly killed at the age of two in this one incident.

                            My heartfelt condolences to Norway.

The dangerous thing is the socialistic Norwegian community. Everyone Are equal. Politicians are normal people, and they only earn about 1 million Nok a year. I walked through this area yesterday, and cars are driving by, There's no police etc. We might be naive, but we've done it that way since the 40's.

The police says the guy wasn't known by them. Their only record they had on him, was a speeding ticket he got over ten years ago.
