I was just getting ready to make a thread. All the best to our Norwegian brothers.

The religion of peace strikes again. Feeling peaceful yet? :^S

        Bomb hits Norway's government offices

        By Nils Myklebost

        Friday, 22 July 2011

A powerful blast hit several Oslo buildings including the prime minister's office. One person was reportedly killed and several were injured, as the blast shattered windows and coated the street with documents.

Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg is safe, government spokeswoman Camilla Ryste told The Associated Press, although it was unclear whether that meant he was uninjured. Norway's public broadcaster, NRK, said one person was confirmed killed.

You can watch live coverage here:

          http://www.vg.no/nyheter/innenriks/a...artid=10080585

E: Called a friend in Oslo, said that there's a total chaos in city centre and local news are reporting total of four people killed... Probably this number will rise.
E2: Most likely explosion was caused by carbomb, local officers say that there are two more in the area.

Did it have a beef with Norway? I haven't been keeping up with their current Enemies List, admittedly....

They have some troops in Afghanistan. Also, they're white, and not Muslim. That's pretty much all it takes with these people. I'm not entirely opposed to irregular warfare, but it needs to make sense. Al Quaida(and sympathizers) is like anarchy gone full retard.

                  Yeah, I'll second that.

This really sucks. Seeing those pictures takes me back right back to April 19, 1995 when I still lived in Oklahoma.

My heart goes out to the victims families, the survivors, and all the residents of Oslo and Norway.

                    I hate this for you.

Is it suspected to be Muslims behind this, or is it just speculation?

They belive that explosions were done by islamist group called Ansar Al-Islam because on Tuesday Norwegian court accused their leader Mullah Krekar in terrorism, after Krekar had threatened to kill ex-minister Erna Solberg. But right now it's just a speculation

                          Yes :^D

Who else blows up buildings? Yea, it happens sometimes(Oklahoma City), but if a bomb goes off, it's a pretty safe bet looking at the Muslims. Islamic groups have made threats already, so they're the likely suspects.

Also there has been reported that gunshots have been heard in nearby island of Utoya, where was some youth organisation camp (prime minister supposed to be there, but he did not arrive). News say that guy in a police uniform came to island and randomly started shooting. Unoficially 4 persons have been killed.

What is happening in Oslo today?!?! :S
