That is my thinking too. I have never had the opportunity for cat but I think I might just dig in and try it. And of all the weird shit I've eaten, rabbit has not been one of them. Seems like it would be good. I've never had snake either, the one time I went into a snake restaurant to throw down, the only one they had was all lethargic (still alive obviously) and I passed.

edit I can't believe you eat squirrel lol. I'd try it, but I wouldn't want to cook it. Seems like such a hassle for minimal return.

Summer fishing sucks, and yes it has been hot as shit here. Sqwerl isn't so hard to clean, no different than small fish once you get used to doing it. And it is awesome meat. Not sure what kind of cat your thinking about eating, but in my mind there the same thing, I'd eat more rabbit if there was more rabbit here, again not that much more return than from a sqwerl...... it's all relative.......

You ever make or eat cornish Hens? same premise...... Yeah you can make a chicken yet many will eat a cornish hen because it's exclusive..... so I want to make sqwerl for the world and make it the next big thing.... where's Bobby Flay wen I need him.........

Whatever they are serving at the restaurant in Guangzhou (Canton) the next time I'm there. You know, I looked up pics of squirrel meat after you posted that. I take it back, there is plenty of meat and it looks tasty. Add that to the list of things we'll do if I ever find myself in Illinois. Smoke a brisket, drink PBRs, fish, and eat squirrel.

I like squirrel. Generally I stay away from higher level land predators. I think eating vegetarians is healthier, but that's just based on "feeling", without any science to back it up.

Pigs and Dolphins are smarter than dogs, and they taste GREAT too ;-)

That is why I buy the tuna cans with extra dolphin meat.

I took out about 35 in one day late last fall. Been pretty quiet around here so far this year.


one of them bastards was stalking me. I swear he was trying to postion himself so he could pounce on me. He didn't survive more than a few minutes. It was funny tho, I'm sneaking around the corner of the house with a 22 and I look over my shoulder and hes about 5 feet away on the edge of the roof lookin like hes gona pounce. He was one of them evil black ones. bastard

Guess I'm more country than I thought. I'll eat squirrel all day long, with gravy and biscuits. And the effort is TOTALLY worth the return...
