Yah the debt deal didn't solve anything and our deficit is still out of control, people were hoping they would come up with a plan to fix something but instead they kicked the can down the road a little more, which makes investors a little uneasy. That and europe is melting.

Exactly how is this the tea parties fault? Both sides fought for what they wanted and they didn't come to any agreement. The democrats have had years to fix this and have done nothing, and things have gotten worse after everything they've attempted. The republicans don't have any good solutions but we can hardly blame the debt crisis on the tea party for god's sake, even if you consider their members in congress they make up a small minority of the house and senate so it is unfair to blame them.

I can't believe the economy is going to implode after democrats have been in power since 2006 and yet this is going to get blamed on a group that started only a few short years ago who didn't even have any members in congress untill 2010.

Speaker Boner couldn't reign in the freshman Tea Party clowns and that is why we are in this mess.

The Republican Tea Party are economically illiterate. That was the verdict from the Economist, a very conservative financial news paper. The Republican Tea Party extremists in the House were warned that taking the debt ceiling negotiations hostage and demanding deep cuts would crash the very fragile recovery and now it has happened.

Like the sign says "You break it, you bought it". The markets agree and apparently the public agrees. A CBS poll out today asks "Who do you trust more on the Economy, Obama or the GOP?" The result was Obama 47% GOP 33%.
