    Help from fellow Iphone owners...

Ok guys, my wife and I bit the bullet and got iphones last week. I really like mine a lot, and it's basically removed the need to carry around my laptop. I really would like some suggestions on must-have apps. So far, I've got the standard Kindle, Flashlight, eBay, Pandora, etc...

I'd really love a decent Hearts game, or other card games. I'd hate to know how many MSHearts games I've played, and I need a replacement!

Should have waited. The new ones are expected to come out next month.
As for apps? Search the AppStore for different things, if you want free apps search the "top" and click free. These are basically your most popular apps
I have some random games, weather, aim, Facebook, google+, etc.

Camera+ is very worth it for better photos. Other than that it depends what you want to do. It can do everything from a vnc session to a mobile DAW. For DAW I like nanostudio.

I like heytell. It's like a walkie talkie recorder. Good for times when texting and actual conversations are inconvenient. Yelp, Iris and ps express for photo edits. Balance and mint are nice too.

Depends what you like to do. There are mobile versions of MS office which for me is a must, there are lots of cool games of every variety, even "civilization" and other big titles, there's barcode scanners which come in handy when shopping, there's literally an app for everything. Tell us more about what kind of things you are interested in and maybe we can recommend some stuff more specific to your interests.

Around Me - is a great free app - uses your location so you can search for shops, food, tobacconists, near you even opens up maps to show how to get there

All it takes is adding the plug in for tapatouch and then you can use that for snuson forums.

It is a paid app but if you see lots of forums using it (free for the forum to do so) then I would say it is worth it.

I like Pandora but sometimes its "choices" leave one scratching their head. Last.fm is another option as well. Also don't forget you can watch netflix streaming on your iphone with the free app. Also there is Documents+ for a "reasonable" interface to Google Docs. Really you can do just about anything with it. There are programs that turn it into a virtual amplifier and effects rack for your guitar. I keep mentioning the music apps as this is the one area that IOS still shines over Android. Android has horrible latency for music. They need to go ahead and put a real time kernel into the development stream for Android to fix this. It would be easy if they actually just did it. There is no reason a mobile device should not have a real time kernel.

For radio: Iheartradio - You can listen to any radio station in the country.

For playing around with music: Ishred - awesome guitar app. Also beatmaker, a very powerfull app for making beats and loops.

For streaming videos - Netflix and Hulu obviously

News: Pulse News - consolidates the news from all of your favorite sites into a very easy to digest gallery. I really recommend this app.

Cards: World series Poker Holdem & iSpadez are my favorite.

Photos: Diptic (makes collages), Photo Wizard (Best photo editing app if you ask me), color blast (lets you selectively color certain part of your photos), Dynamic Light (this one is really ool and lets you adjust the lighting). Also cool is timelapse, which allows you to take a pic every x number of seconds and then make sa video out of it.

There's a million more but I can't think of them at the moment.

I would probably recommend NanoStudio over Beatmaker unless hip hop was the genre of choice, Beatmaker has been embraced by Hip Hop producers. Also Fruity Loops Mobile is out but I think that is Ipad only. Nano really is the best feature set to price of all of the choices, IMO of course.
