Warren Buffet asks to be taxed at a higher rate.

This has to be one of the stranger ones I've seen recently.

I doubt very much that any of his fellow rich folks are in danger of seeing their taxes go up, though.

    I like that...
If all the "mega-rich" paid 1-2% more in taxes we could effectively kill the deficit in a fairly short period of time.

If, but I doubt they will accept it. Maybe he'll get lucky and Bill Gates will back him up with it. I seem to recall Gates trying to get America's richest folks to pledge to donate a great deal of their money to charity before they die.

If they just didn't use all the tax dodges they already do everything would be fine. These guys say this shit knowing full well that if the rates went up on them they wouldn't pay a penny more than their already not paying. They also know that if it is perceived their paying more than it won't be a leap to get the middle class to pay more, who already pay a disproportionate share and have no loop holes to lose it in. Wake up fools the Game is rigged.......

Oh and By the By if he wants to contribute more, I'm pretty sure he can do that right now with no change in the tax code. He can write a check to the treasury any time he wants. Again, wake up fools..........

Yes, he could write a check to the treasury. But seeing as his point is that he'd prefer to see the wealthy folks in his income bracket all have to pay a fair share like he's proposing, he can't exactly sign away their money to the treasury for them. Rub the sleep from your eyes before calling others fools and telling them to wake up. That sort of constant sn¡ggȩring at other folks is why nobody gives a damn what the nutters in the the tin foil hats have to say. They're a nuisance, and often don't bother to read the whole article before whipping out the conspiracy theories.
