AUDIT ALERT
Customer Rating
Posted August 22, 2011, 2:10 AM EST: I don't know why, but I am looking at "MY ACCOUNT" screen and says Unable to process order. Please call 1-877-379-0036, or 212-414-6024, if outside U.S. I ordered 2. You will not see this message if you ordered as a guest. Funny thing is they all ready debited the money from my account. Anyone else having this problem?

Posted August 22, 2011, 9:08 AM EST: I had 2 separate orders at around 1am Eastern (first for 1 unit and second for 2 units). Both went through, and I've been charged for both. At around 3AM I got the "Unable to Process Order" msg everyone is getting. I called the 877 number listed at 8:30AM Eastern and they were closed. Called 3 more times over the next 15-20 mins, but they are still closed. Weird, bc the greeting msg says that "all other agents are assisting other callers" then asks for order nbr and zip code, THEN tells you they're closed and only open after 8:30AM Eastern. Called the other number for kicks, and I get a disconnected tone. So I tried callig general customer support where it let me check the status of an order. Punched all my information in then said that the audit dept was (still!) closed. It told me to leave a voicemail then said the mailbox was full. It auto sent me to the "employee hotline" and then said "Goodbye" before disconnecting me. I haven't gotten any email updates about my order - whether it's been canceled, honored, or whatever. Thanks for the runaround Barnes.

Hack Your TouchPad to Run Android, Win a Prize
After HP announced it would discontinue production of its TouchPad tablet last week, it looked like early HP tablet adopters spent $500 on a dud. If you’re an enterprising software hacker, however, there could be an opportunity to make your money back — and then some.
A hardware-modification web site is offering a $1,500 cash bounty for the first person to successfully port a full version of the Android operating system over to HP’s TouchPad.
Hacknmod.com offers a tiered bounty system for would-be TouchPad hackers: Just getting Android to run on the TouchPad without taking full advantage of the tablet’s hardware will win you a cool $450. But the more you’re able to integrate the system software into the device, the more cash you’ll earn. Get the Wi-Fi, multitouch capability, audio and camera up and running, and you’ll add another $1,050 to the pot.

Not a bad return on a $100 investment!

I have talked to 2 different people at 2 different office depots in my area and both say they will be getting more in either tuesday or wed. They said to call first.
They both also said that HP was holding a bunch back for later release.
Thats just what I'm told so who knows what to believe. But I'll be calling them several times a day for the next few days.Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
