    The UFC Thread

I searched the site and couldn't find a UFC thread, only a little MMA thread from years back so I thought I'd start one.
    Any UFC fans?

Tonight's fight looks to be good!

I am. But I don't pay for the fights, only watch free ones and when I'm at the bar.

I used to watch pride and K1 back in the day.
    I love MMA, it's a great sport.

TGI Friday's here does them locally but last time they were PACKED.
I split the price of tonight's PPV with someone else because I didn't wanna have them folks all off in my kool-aid.

Great fight at 150. One of my fav classes. Hats off to Ross. May not of pulled the W, but definitely the aggressor w/ good defense. Barboza has some serious speed on those switch kicks!

        Griffin vs Shogun up now

              Hell of a night!
Not happy about Griffin going down like that, but Silva put on a hell of a show. He's an amazing fighter, sized him up the first round and went in round 2 and executed. It's almost genius the way he works.

I like to watch UFC when it is on SPIKE but I refuse to shell out $50 to watch it on pay per view. My brother in law collects the UFC DVD's and the older ones are amazing. Gracie would be in one fight after another and take down people twice his size with ease. It was very sad to watch him try to make his comeback and get pulverized.

Definitely a good night! The filler bouts were really good. Sux for Griffin, but that's the way the game goes, and those hammer fists were just brutal! He last 4 bounced his whole body off the mat...

Silva is on a whole different level... I found it interesting that he didn't finish in the typical ground and pound style you see, but picked his shots even then. That elbow to the body was vicious. People hate how he drops his guard in stand-up, but that's just part of his style. He slips those shots right in from down low.

The old school ones were great, and those multiple fight nights were a true testament to the originals. Unfortunately, they stand no chance in today's hybrid style. No more multiple fights... To much investment in the fighters.

That Nog fight was badass, he's a killer fighter.
Lots of knockouts, that's for sure. It was a great card.
