Region 0 DVDs & The US

Quick question for you guys in the US.

Do Region 0 DVD's work in the US? They're supposed to have the flags for Regions 1-5 set but if the video is in PAL format would a US DVD player be able to convert it to NTSC (as European ones do the other way around) or do you need to have a specialist DVD player there to achieve that?

According to wikipedia, Region 0 DVDs will play in a DVD player encoded for any region except 7 or 8. Assuming you don't have a DVD player from the future or an airplane, you should be good to go. An alternate solution would be to set a DVD drive on a computer to be region free, and hook up your computer to your TV, either via DVI, VGA, or HDMI and playing it like that.
