Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, David Alen Coe in no particular order.

I'm not a big country fan, but Willie's great, as is Johnny Cash. For country type stuff, I prefer the old mountain music, but you don't really hear that around on the radio or anything.

Much of today's country music is reminiscent of the 80s & 90s Southern Rock...

As for traditional country I'd add Dolly Parton, Roger Miller & Loretta Lynn to Blue's list.

I am actually playing in a country band now, well rock and country covers, new rock, classic rock, some older and "new" country. Having to get up to speed on the genre as I mostly only knew old country. I have become a bit of a Jason Aldean fan from having to learn his music.

Do you have like a Myspace page or something( I guess bands have that? ) so we can check it out?
And myself, I mainly like Johnny Cash, Rhett Akins and some Justin Townes Earle(Even though it isn't "proper" country)

Not much but I recently started liking Southern rock which has some country influences.
                      It's groovy stuff.

The only thing worse than country music is rap.

Aside from the old greats, this is about as "country" as I get. But this guy is SO good. Not all country, but he's a West Texas boy, so he knows what's up. Scott H. Biram is the name, go see him when he comes to a town near you, you wont be disappointed.

The pedal steel in the intro is one of the best sounds ever created by humans :^)
