I would think that also but when you look for batterries for a Dell 700m you will find that there are several sellers doing this. [I need 2 batteries, one for the xps and one for the 700M] There are far less batteries available for the xps than for the 700 on ebay. Check it out and see how confusing this cell question is. I did read somewhere [I can't find it now] that a 4 cell battery would be lighter than a 6 or 8 cell battery of the same voltage and ma. This just doesn't make any sense to me. Come on, I know quite a bit about batteries and 8 ell is normally better that 6 or 4 cell. Thats always been the case. But I see whats on ebay and what I read about the weight just doesn't make sense.

    0ne seller 4.8 ah 6 cell Aprox $27
another selller 4.8 ah 8 cell aprox $18

The links are below with the prices. You will see why I am confused when adding the cost factor into the equation. Both are from the same seller. wtf's with this?

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Maybe I missed something, but don't both of those descriptions state 6 cells?

As for the price difference, I can't see how they can sell at $18. I think that the 6 cells alone would cost that much, even in bulk.
