Has to be one of the best lines from a legitimate piece of journalism I've seen in a while. Ken Ford, a West Virginia attorney, has been madly launching copyright infringement lawsuits across the country, accusing people of illegally downloading and sharing hardcore porn over the internet. Fortunately this time judges are being sane and just tossing his suits out left and right, but this sort of action is becoming increasingly common. Lawsuits are brought claiming huge numbers of people are accused of copyright infringement over peer to peer filesharing networks, often accusing people at random. The idea is that most people would prefer not to go to court and spend all the money fighting it, and many completely innocent people simply settle out of court to avoid the hassle. For those who try to fight it, whether they're innocent or not is irrelevant, as the lawyers tend to just drop the case when people actually fight it. I wonder if lawyers ever stop and think, "You know, maybe it's this sort of stuff that gives my trade a bad image."
Teen Anal Nightmare 2 has already affected people from across the country.

I despise law, the legal system, and all its agents. I quietly(and sometimes not so) rage when I see a commercial from one of those leeches on daytime TV. The corrupt leading the corrupt, looking for a free paycheck, and manipulating a system that allows itself to be manipulated by the people with the money.

I think of lawyers the same way I think of police. For sure, there are some out there who just want to help people out, and make the world better. Unfortunately for them, their actions are horribly outweighed by the abuses and reprehensible behaviour that many with their profession engage in.
