How to play Warcraft 3 on new Lion 10.7 OS (MAC)????

Hey so I am trying to figure out how to make this work and would really appreciate your help if you have any info/experience with this. I have googled it extensively but am not getting the info I am looking for.

    Short story:

I know this poor kid in the Phillipines who is a family member and he saved all of his money over years and years to buy a new Mac Laptop, and now he is all sad because he can't figure out how to play Warcraft 3 and I feel really bad for him because all he has is a bootleg old powerPC copy from half a decade ago. I want to buy him his own legit copy of the game (the battle chest), but odn't want to buy it until I can confirm if it is playable on a Mac 10.7 Lion OS. The disc is mac compatible, but only to 10.6 I think, I don't know if the new OS is different enough to where it would make a difference.
Help me to help this kid out if you know how to make this work, he is savy enough to partition his hard drive if he needs to. I've also hear that you can run it out of bootcamp. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Longer story:

I am trying to find out if I can play Warcraft 3 on a brand new MacBookPro running 10.7 Lion OS. It says it isn't supported on the disc (it only goes to 10.6 I believe). But some poeple claim it works and others claim it gives an error saying that it won't work because it is a power PC program and isn't compatible with 10.7.

    1) The "Battle Chest" it is sold in says on the box that it is a MAC compatible game but the box says it works up to 10.6. Is it likely to work on 10.7, or is the OS different enough to make it so that it doesn't work?

    2) Alternately, is it possible to play the PC version via bootcamp, and if so, how hard is it to do?

3.) If you can't do either of the above two, could you partition the hard drive and install Windows and run it off there, what windows OS should one install, XP? Would newer versions of Windows run something like Warcraft 3 or is that something that is just too old to run on newer versions of Windows?
