I was really surprized when my wife started crying when we were moving them. It was a very hard decision to part with them. But if I passed on and left them with the family surely someone would have stole them from them very cheap. So it was best to sell them now.

now I have to figure out if I am going to keep the Mcintosh amp and preamp.

SS. the preamp is a C29 and the amp is a MC2120.

Oh my 120 per side for horns? You must've had to treat the volume knob with respect although I suppose the pot slope on the C29 would have made that not a big deal.

120 w per channel clean is what the factory rates it. I actually had the amp tested at one of the old Mac clinics they used to have. Its highly under rated. My MC2120 is certified to put out 161 watts before clipping. So, in effect the max power rating would be 640 w. The K-horns are so efficient tho and boy do they wail.

I just got off the phone with Mike. Hes pretty excited. I'm glad for him.


on a side note....a few months ago when I first advertized my K-horns for sale Klipsch headquarters contacted me and interviewed me for a bit in their newsletter. They were inspired by my life story with these speakers and how much they have meant to me. Now that they are sold I'm pretty sure they will contact me again for a follow up. I made sure we got photos of Mike, myself and the speakers the other day just in case.

My ad for the K-horns was quite detailed and personal. Surely thats why they contacted me. I mean, come on....who tears up when selling speakers?
