I'd be particularly interested in Scandinavia and the Baltic states. I imagine you could get some truely spooky/spectacular looking pictures near dusk on a snowy day. Imgur is pretty lenient for image hosting, they only delete images if they fall below a certain number of views in a set span of time. As for movies, I don't know if there really would be too many, as these things tend to be clandestine/illegal by their very nature here. Perhaps some of the "Ghost Hunter"-esque shows would work for you, as they are often set in old run-down locales. Of course, then you'd have to deal with the sort of dopes who usually host such shows, and their "Oh sweet Jebus, I heard a noise over there. Definitely not one of our interns that we paid to walk by out of the frame." antics that they use to try and offer proof of the supernatural.

Went out today and took some shots. Living quarters for Soviet communication officers, they were responsible for controlling airwaves around Tapa city, aswell air traffic controllers for Tapa military airport, which was one of the main fighter plane airport here.

Added few pics from last years trip to Croatia, nothing good but gives insight what happened to people and their houses there during Yugoslav war.
