Any Problems With Yahoo Mail?

Has anyone else had problems with Yahoo mail since being 'switched' to the new version? To make it worse apparently it's still in beta but Yahoo aren't highlighting that.

My ISP's mail is hosted by Yahoo. Spent about an hour on the phone to India yesterday to no avail other than it might be fixed by Wednesday!

Configured Outlook to use instead of the site but that seems to have the same problems logging into my mailbox.

Is Googlemail more reliable? Was looking at trying to signup an account this morning but although it kept saying the e-mail address I had requested was available when I went to confirm it said it was no longer available. It's very difficult to make out the Captcha phrases on their site too.

Gmail works very well for me. I use it with Thunderbird, and Evolution. I have a Yahoo account for BS stuff. I don't know if it works or not. I don't really use it.

The old version had multiple ads (FLASH) which bogged everything up. Almost gave up until the new version which was great!
but they have added some ad's and things are starting to get buggy again. As a designer I can understand the need for animations in many sites but
if pages dont flow and open, then you have made a big mistake somewhere.
