Don't know what to say. I'm deeply sorry for you and your families loss Snusoff.

I remember shortly after when I first got here to this forum. I wrote this e-mail to snusgetter:

"Oh, by the way... I e-mailed Gotlandssnus to find out if Jakobssons Mint (or other strong Jakobsson's varieties) is available in Gothenburg or Sweden, to found out that it was exclusively for online customers. That bummed me a bit since I would love to try that snus.

I can send an order online though, but I was thinking, is it worth it? I have heard many good reviews of it and it seems like a great snus. Mint flavored snus is also something I have never tried before. The thing is that it will cost me some extra with shipping etc. Would you order a roll of it if you were me?

Wish you a nice day! "

I got this response from him:

"Dangit, I just remembered that I forgot to send you a holiday card.

If you provide me with your complete address, I'll get the card out to you ASAP. There just happens to be small pouches enclosed with a few portions of Jak's Mint and the Classic Long.

That should at least provide you with an idea whether or not you should splurge on full rolls!

There might be room in there for one or two other samples I might have to spare. Just name them and I'll check."


A week later, a holiday card came in my mail:






Inside it were portions from all brands imaginable which I had been dying to try.

It was such a kind hearted gesture. I mean, I had only been a member here for a couple of days and he did this without hesitation. Truly a very kind man.

Snusgetter, even though we have never met each other in real life, you will be dearly missed. Hopefully we will meet each other in the next life!

Well... I'm at a loss for words here. You have my deepest condolences Snusoff, and I'm going to miss Snusgetter terribly. This whole thing has been on mind since he became ill, and now it's resolved, albeit, not in a manner I particularly like. RIP Art. Thank you for spending some time with us.

My deepest condolences to you and your family, even though I have never met your father personally I have to say, based on the few threads I have interacted with him in, he seemed like a great man and I am glad to have had to pleasure to converse with him. SnusOn will not be the same without him. May his soul be at peace and may he enjoy eternal rest in heaven with God.

I am very sorry for your familys loss. I teared up when I read that Art had passed. He was a great bright spot on this forum that will be deeply missed. His wit and enthusiasm for this place was refreshing and always made me happy to come back and see what he had posted. I will miss his presence here.

I hope that I am blessed to know him in the next life as I got a chance to know him in this one.
