Coca tea from Bolivia can be bought fine from the states if you are over there. Yet here in the UK you can't import it. But, you can import Agwa which is a liqueur made with coca leaves. That's right isn't it?! Surely if we are allowed the coca liqueur we can have the coca tea. WTF.

Just out of interest does one contain more cocaine than the other, hence why we can have one and not the other? (just been reading about coca tea on Wiki)

NONE of the negative effects of taking pure cocaine can be found with chewing coca or drinking coca tea. It's just prejudice, here's a good article by a consultant psychiatrist: The inocuity of coca use in the Andes

All of this circumvents the point that it isn't the governments' job to tell people what they put in their bodies. If someone wants to smoke crack, it's their god given right to smoke crack. The governments' job ends at policing product labels/ingredients. As long as products are clearly marked, and accurately identified, the governments' interest is zero.
