$150k? Lol, definately not rich in CA. $100k is middle class in most of the city areas. You can rent an apartment and have a car but aside form that you aren't really feelin too rich. $150k would at least allow for some extra spending money, maybe even allow you to afford the downpayment on a small house!

In monetary terms - no - I am not rich.
But I am self-employed and that allows me to be in control of any money I do make - if I work harder and make good decisions then I can earn more money potentially. I also have the option to choose more time with my family if I want at the expense of working too earn money.
That is a real freedom which I really cherish - and because I feel that free to choose how I apportion my time I feel very rich indeed.Squeezyjohn
