PP, you and your birds are completely bad-ass. As a bird lover I would love to be able to justify the price a Hyacinth commands, but good lawd that's a lot of money! Lol. Sadly my last bird, the coolest, tamest, most loving conure I've ever seen, died unexpectedly last year. She was about 10 years old. Don't know why, the vet believed she must have had some sort of heart condition, as otherwise she seemed healthy as an ox. Damn I miss that girl..... So right now I'm still bird-less, just waiting for the right bird to come along. Got my sights set on a Scarlet, theyre just so damn beautiful I can't keep my eyes off them, lol. Anything I should know?

      Good work brother!

My parents bought a yellow nape before I was born and that bird is still alive ha, will probably outlive me. His or her name was Jose. Funny thing is I don't think my parents knew the sex of our parrot. I know about those damn orgasm noises. Jose would rub its ass against the cage makin these crazy noises we'd laugh every time. This yellow nape looks very similar to Jose.

Eric, funny you say that. After I posted the above I realized - how the hell did I know "she" was a girl? We never had her sexed, lol. I guess since she was so loving and gentle, I just figured it was a girl..... ;^P

Owen, you need to contact me if you really want a bird. I have friends that still breed the regular birds ya know. Scarlets aren't for everyone. They are head strong and most are nippy as hell. But they don't have to be. If someone wanted a Scarlet from me I wouldn't sell them one unless they owned some other type of macaw first and we would have to have a serious talk. Yea Scarlets can be that bad. But nature did a hell of a job painting that picture. Check out the Scarlet in my FB photos, Thats Baron, the bird I keep in my room on a stand. BTW, those orgasm sounds he makes sound exactly like my wife. I'm mean exactly.

Female parrots are a tad sweeter than males in general. Buy a male from a decent breeder and you won't be able to tell the difference.

Amazon parrots [like the photo eric put up] are the pparrots that can live so long. Ususally up to 80 years but some are documented to live over 100 years. Its because of them that alot of people believe all parrots can liive to be 100. Thats just not true.

An experianced bird person can tell if a bird is a male or female without DNA sexing or surgical sexing. I have my ways.....

Funny story....About 30 years ago when I started to get into birds I bought 40 conures, because they were cheap. I wanted to breed them. I put all the birds that I thought were males in one cage and the ones I thought were females in another cage. I took them to the vet for surgical sexing. I went back later in the day to pick them up and the vet comes out to see who the "Witchdoctor" was. Apparently I was wrong with only 2 of the birds. Thats the day my vet developed an huge respect for me. He stil calls me a witchdoctor sometime. He was blown away.....and so was I. That vet is the fellow in the photo with Ozzie O. Hes a great guy. As a matter of fact twice so far I have donated large sums of $ on his behalf to a certain charity to benefit humans. I just put a check in the mail to that charity on thursday in Petes honor.

I must say that Pete takes care of me. At one time I had about 30 Hyacinths. Thats more than you can imagine seeing in any one place. They were my charges and because they are so rare and I was responsible for them Pete did alot of vet work free or really cheap for me. Thats why I dig deep, eeven when I don't have the spare coin, to donate on his behalf. If you own parrots long enough, one thing these birds will do for you is teach you how to love and respect.

PP, I was looking at YouTube videos (big surprise there ha) and stumbled upon this video of you questioning a potential customer of one of your parrots. You should of posted this yourself. I can hear the love for your macaws in your voice.

Haha had to rattle your cage a little! (Pardon the pun)

No no, keeping it more real though, your parrot screams my name when your wife goes to reach for her lube? Odd...

Not sure what is more disturbing. The fact that you made that comment or the fact that PP's wife is like 70, guess I'll have to think about it now. Unfortunately..... Your a sick bastard my friend......

oh yea???? my 65 year old wife looks more like a healthy fit 42 year old gal. Shes mistaken as a sister to my 44 year old daughter all the time. I'm a freaking lucky man.

                    plus.....she loves to give head.
