Was at the local ice track event today, finished 10th (out of 19 in my class). First cars were lucky to get on track when it was still snowy and with good traction, sadly I started way back with really slippery conditions, so the time was not that good (did some training on the same track yesterday and the time was 4.43, today 5.09. Taking all what's left from this winter, was at a local village ice track yet again, don't know where I placed, but wasn't last and wasn't first either lol

6th today out of 8 cars in my class, it was the last race of this winter, now have to wait a month or so for the first tarmac/gravel event.

How much does the car matter in these races? It looks like driving skill is much more important than car tuning.

Totally true Lx. All cars must be the same, only minor changes are allowed, so it all comes down to who can go through corners as clean as possible

Spring is finally here and today was the first race on gravel/tarmac, was 8th in my class

Lookin' good! Are you happy with your non-snow performance?

Yeah like it much more than snow, top four guys were bit faster but other 5 (including me) were all inside 10 seconds, so i lost to 6th guy by 2sec, 5th by 5sec. Needs a bit practice but I feel much more comfortable on gravel/tarmac, than snow.
Oh and next race is on upcoming saturday.

Yeah, we had little problem with onboard cam this time, but will hope to get it running next time, but here's a vid from my friend from our rally team:
