Where has the forum coding buttons gone?

I have to write my codes manually now since my buttons has disappeared mysteriously. Also, when I copy, say... a post from "What's in your mouth", before, I got the formatting, picture and everything right away in the preview post box. Now I just get the codes... What's up with that?

Something happened when we got the mobile edition. That's what drew my attention to it. I was looking in the settings to see if my personal profile got reverted or something. I clicked on the forum style on a whim, and saw the mobile layout.

Anyway, there's a ticket in for the issue. This might be good for everyone anyway. I see you've discovered that bbcode formatting can be used, but it has to be entered manually. Doing it manually will help take the mystery out of the system, and can be used other places that don't have the specific buttons available. It won't work everywhere. bbcode has to be enabled on the site, but sometimes it's easier to just hand enter things instead of using the buttons. I always hand enter [img] and [video] tags. It's quicker than the buttons.

Yah just typing the bbcode in is faster most of the time, the buttons always lagged on my slow work computer.

I just tried it right now but couldn't find the forum for the life of me. The interface seems smooth but the articles button didn't lead to the forum and the frontpage is just the snuson front page. Is the forum accessable from the mobile version?

Dunno. It's working for me, at least the forums are. I haven't tried everything, and I haven't seen it on a portable device yet.

Lol! I swear I just hacked it to the website by mistake and...............

No I hate writing codes. You had to do that before, but when I saw you guys introduced the kind of real-time formatting, I was over the moon! It's perfect for making a "what's in your mouth" post, to see what fonts fit, what size fit etc. Now you have to preview it over and over again and write a whole book with codes. Luckily I just copy and paste my previous posts there, but if I will post any new stuff, I will have to do it from scratch.

Until it gets fixed, some basic formatting codes for you who don't know them:

[ b ] text [ / b ] = Bold
[ i ] text [ / i ] = Italic
[ u ] text [ / u ] = Underline
[ size = "15 ] text [ / size ] = text

[ img ] link to picture [ / img] = Picture

edit: wtf! As I wrote this, my avatar got to normal size, with the ones above me still in the smaller size. And as I refreshed the page, all of them got small again...

I think you are right! I think this version of the software is giving priority to "mobility." Get rid of the mobility and I'll bet everything will go back to normal.
