I found a wireless N router at the pawn shop for $10 about a week ago and finally got Netflix over my Wii. This is a great deal! For $8.00 a month I can watch unlimited movies on demand. I was afraid the movies would stall or need to buffer but I haven't run into any issues yet. The only thing I don't like about instant Netflix is that the selection is not as good. I have also noticed that you can use the Wii as a web browser. Anything else out there for the Wii?

The only major limitation on Netflix for Wii is the lack of HD capability. The old games are pretty awesome though. I'd recommend "Beyond Oasis" from the Sega Genesis. It's an action-rpg, and I've got to say the one thing that makes it great is the puzzles. Sooner or later, you'll come to a puzzle that just leaves you totally stumped, and you'll turn off your Wii in rage. A few days later, if you take another crack at it you'll solve the puzzle right away, and in retrospect the solution will be totally obvious. I haven't come across one yet that just seems like a cheap trick.
I'd like to see them use the Virtual Console to bring out some old games that didn't officially get brought over to the US. For example, English SNES versions of Star Ocean or Shin Megami Tensei. I'd buy a Wii for that.

Rooted droid with my tether unlocked and wii connected to it is how I do it. Also watch em on my phone and new tablet. The droid market has more movvies than netfli tho so I buy em on my phone and sense you can't watch movies from the market on a rooted phone I watch em after I buy em on the phone on youtuube on my tablet. There's a way around everything.

There's a lot of things you can do with a Wii if you setup The Homebrew Channel with an external USB hard drive (or high-capacity SD card).
Media players, emulators, homebrew games, and more.

Cutting the Comcast cord was pretty much a no-brainer for me.. The HD tv always has cartoons going and I spend most of my time on the desktop anyways.
