You'll have get a bit more specific than just "does some weird shit," before we can help you out. Does the monitor go straight to this state, or does it happen at a certain spot in the boot process? If it happens at a certain spot, what happens prior to it going into this state? Any recent upgrades or changes you've made on your system?

What's the weird shit? How has the boot process changed before you get to the blue screen? Is anything different?

It's your video card, or a memory issue.

But I'd say it has something to do with your video card.

Have you been changing/playing around with the hardware lately?

Make sure you have all your hardware installed properly and then proceed to install all your kits.

            and one more thing

switch back to Windows XP or install a fresh copy of Windows 7

forget the vista, that's the shit I believe you're talking about, lewl

Yeah, definitely need more info on what happens right before. Also, by "vista" I hope you mean Windows 7?

Vista's my favorite Windows. I have Win7, but never installed it on my machine.

First it said i have no battery left in my computer. then it said something that could not find disk or something... now it just goes this way: I start the computer, there comes a text " Windows is loading files..." and after it has loaded everything, there flashes a little black window for 1 sec, and the screen turns lightblue. then the only thing i can do is move the mouse

Not a windows seven, just a plain windows vista

Your hard drive might be getting flakey. Try booting into safe mode. When you start your computer, press F8. That should give a menu of choices for starting Windows. Select safe mode, and see if you get in ok. If you do, that would indicate a driver issue.

If i press f8 repeatedly it goes to a menu, but the same thing happens when i choose safe mode etc.

Would sound like something with your video card to me at the moment, but it could well be something else. If safe mode works, you should be able to sort everything out nicely.

Also, precious, you should probably wait until you've got more to go on then just "something is weird," before you authoritatively declare the problem to be one thing or another. Giving out a potential solution can just make things worse if you just toss something out without having enough info to go on. And at this point, Vista is essentially WIndows 7, unless Nuusku hasn't updated his computer at all for the last year or more.

Edit: If you have another computer you can use, try downloading and burning a liveCD image. Here's one and another. Burn one of those as a bootable image to a CD, and try booting off it on your computer with problems. That can narrow down for us whether it's a hardware issue or not.

The gfx card works on some level if he can see the menus and stuff. I wonder if Windows got corrupted. A repair install might be difficult since oems don't ship discs with the systems anymore :^S

I like the LiveCD idea. If nothing else, it'll get your computer working if it is a Windows install issue.

Thank you. The problem is that no matter what cd i put in, it doesnt open. the only thing i can do is be in the light blue screen and move the mouse, or tap f8 or esc to get some settings. I have tried running in safe mode etc. but always when it's ready, and i hope it goes to the desktop, it just goes again to the same lightblue screen
