Mine hit somewhere with libertarian/liberal. Makes sense, because I like FREEDOM from government with only a few social programs for the elderly.
Communism doesn't really work, except on a small scale. Once you get past the tribal level, the leeches and power hungry destroy the system. You even run into that in very small systems. The participants need to be cherry picked for the smoothest experience.
Communism has it's faults as does every single ideological theory in existance, that however doesn't make a person less intelligent for wanting a near-Utopian society by helping their fellow human beings
I'd say socialist, with anarchist tendencies. I liked a lot of what I read of Kropotkin, but I feel like it suffers from the same faults as communism that lx described, so I'm not entirely sure he would be very practical a model to follow.

Yea, but it has to be workable. There's no overcoming human nature. Communism is perfectly compatible with my more anarchist tendencies. The people that choose that system can band together as a tribe. That keeps everything small and manageable, with problems more easily dealt with on a local level. AFAIC, humans weren't meant to be governed on the large scales we work with. Accountability is lost, and those that mismanaged their constituents due so without consequence. A politician should always fear a bullet in the head if he missteps. That clarifies thought, and keeps proper behavior at the forefront.

I believe in less state intervention on social issues. I don't believe in any inherent authority of the state to dictate how we should live our lives, that for me is up to individual conscience. After all, we all have a different set of values. I do however believe in a firm state input on economic matters, such as lessening the disparity between rich and poor. This for me is the saving grace of the state
If you ever want to torture me all you need to do is put me in a cell and force me to listen to politically-charged talk radio.
I don't know much about it really. But I will certainly vote for anybody that supports shelving progress-debilitating issues like abortion and gun control until we can get a handle on a few other things. Education wouldn't be a bad start...
Communism doesn't work for us selfish people, and it would be way too dangerous for the society to try. We have all seen how it worked out for the ones for the "hardcore" socialist societys. There is no freedom of speech in such a place.
Anarchy wouldn't work either because the society always ends up with some kind of a leader or many. It may work as an revolution in a country which is in a need of a new start but it other ways, no.
I personally like direct democracy, that the people vote for all policy initiatives directly. Or some kind of that democracy. Anyways, I can't stand voting for lying politics when the majority of them are bastards..
By the way
And how is a libertian in the US? Here you are one if you want almost everything to be legal, like drugs, prostituion and so on.
