Swedish Satanic Rock Band Begins US Tour This Month

A satanic rock band from Sweden known as Ghost is planning a 13-stop tour in America beginning in New York City on January 18.
The band, whose keeps the names of its members anonymous, is actually a devil-worshiping ministry that features a lead singer who calls himself “Papa Emeritus” and dresses up as a kind of satanic pope in a skull mask and cardinal’s robes. Their “13 Dates of Doom” tour in the U.S. will include two other “doom rocker” bands, Blood Ceremony and Ancient Wisdom.
Their flyers advertise the tour in this way:
“In the name of Satan, we will conduct thirteen rituals in thirteen different cities throughout the United States and Canada and now we are summoning all of our devotees to partake in these blasphemous eves of black magic.”

I have a certain appreciation for black metal. It's too loud for me to listen to much, but I appreciate it. The schtick they use I find kind of annoying though. It comes off as being a clown show, and not music centric. I'd prefer they just played the music, and dropped the dumb stuff.

Kiss makeup? I appreciate it someway too. When i was younger i used to listen to black metal 90% of all music. Got over that stage now. Still some good bands out there

Just like the 80's with Iron Maiden's 666 for example. Ha the singer sounds like the guy from Duran Duran. You be the judge.

Yeah, but Iron Maiden actually made great music, didn't claim to be satanic, & weren't a bunch of poofters. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) Just sayin!

I totally agree.. Iron Maiden kicked ass. I'm just saying the uproar is similar from the religious nuts ha.

Pretty funny, these religious fanatics. I feel bad for them too, in today's digital age, finding records to burn isn't as easy as it used to be.
Seriously though, Ghost seems like pretty weak sauce to be satanic. The satanists nowadays really need to step up their game.

I always thought HIP HOP came directly from SATAN.

Haha. I have been listening to Ghost a bit because of their music.....it is not horrible....but the subject matter is pure cheese. Cheddar I believe.....maybe Havarti.....definitely not Gouda.......like I give Edam.

No offense to Satan or Satanists......their delivery is cheesy.

                        I hope Satan likes cheese.

                        I do.

Satan eats cheese made in Hellam, PA.

I would go see Ghost....just to see it.

Hang out with the fourteen year old fans......

                        No line at the bar.

                        Cheese.

                        What was I saying?

In fact, Iron Maiden continues to kick ass.

Edit: Now that I've watched the video, you guys can leave me at home for the Ghost concert. Let me know when Gorgoroth comes over.

Here's Alice Cooper's take on Black Metal, from the documentary 'Metal: A Headbanger's Journey'. Wilth Alice Cooper being a pretty dedicated Christian, I always expected him to really be mean to them. Not so...

A little off topic here. I find it funny how many national companies are using songs to advertise their products that were "devil music" and "evil" when I was listening to them as a teen. Crazy Train selling a Minivan. Judas Priest selling a mionivan too I believe. My mom would take those cassettes away from me if she caught me with them. lol. And Ozzy was the devil that bit heads off of bats in the mid 80's. Now they are so accepted they sell products nationally. Oh how times have changed.
