What do you guys do for a living?

It has always fascinated me how you can get to know people over the internet and not even have a clue as to what they do for a living.

I will start by saying I run an online website at www.dogloverstore.com and also run an ebay store.

What do you guys do for a living?

If there is a thread on this already, sorry, I searched but found nothing.

Currently in Federal Law Enforcement, fed up with the bullshit and trying to get back into the petroleum industry so this worthless piece of paper hanging on my wall will pay off.

we happen to be doing pretty much the same thing.

I make a living selling domains, building custom websites (coding joomla, wordpress, custom scripts), web design, creating content and I also provide various SEO services.

I've been doing it for just about 3 years now ......

Additionally I'd love to open a snus store and a nice pub in my local town though.

CNC Machining mostly making parts for John Deere agricultural equipment and Caterpillar construction equipment. We were probably one of the last places in the US you could actually smoke inside the building wherever you wanted. Luckily, i switched to smokeless about 6 months before they banned smoking inside the place.

I go to school, and in Denmark the state pays you to go to school :-)

But I'd like to join the army later, and in the long run when(or if) I get back from working for the army I'd like to open up an American themed bar in Denmark.

              Have you seen Armadillo?

I would stay well away from the Army unless you can get a trade that you can use outside of it. In fact, knowing what I know, and the situations that they're involved in today I'd stay well clear.
Maybe I just sound like my elders did, but you're somebody's son. Losing your life comes without reason, without personal discrimination and unexpectedly - also - it's not worth it.

                Cool guys!

Precious007 : I would love to discuss various seo things with you, I have a team that does SEO for us, and I do some stuff as well. It has been a tough fight especially with Panda updates etc. but we made it through and our SEO is now continually climbing month after month. But it would be cool to discuss some things, get your point of view on some stuff.

I never intended on selling the things we sell, but years ago we ran into a business that was closing down and they were getting rid of tons of stock for way way below wholesale prices so we jumped on it. I do love dogs though :-)

I actually haven't seen Armadillo, which is to some extend embarassing.
But it's sort of just what we do in our family. You finish high school, take some time in the military and go to university. To be fair, my mom isn't very excited with my plans of going into the military but I feel like I have to. It's just this feeling inside that it's something I have to try.
But I'm probably not going to stay there for too long, maybe just do a tour or two and then I'll take a trip around the world with the money I've made. Just wander a bit, and then finally settle down...

Most of my friends joined the service after high school, and all of them loved it. 3 of them joined the army, 2 joined the navy, and 2 joined the air force, everyone of them said it was a great experience. 3 of them are still enlisted.

I enjoyed my 12 years but all I did was Bosnia. The good times were really good and the bad times were really bad - that's the Army.
There were no proper wars in that time. I would have had no problems going to war at that age, I loved Bosnia (despite it being mind bogglingly cruel) and I would have loved an all out war - then......but I'm seeing things a lot more clearly these days, or maybe just from a different perspective. I would never say to a younger person "yeah, join up. It's great". People die and yes it might very well be one of you. I don't think there's anything glamorous or heroic about it - I just think it's a waste.

I'm a software developer for a POS (that's Point-Of-Sale, not piece-of-you-know-what) service provider - LD calling cards, cellular pins, gift cards, etc. I code mostly back end stuff, like bridging terminal transactions to our internal processes, but occasionally do web apps for support staff. It makes for busy and interesting times and I sure do look forward to a nice big prilla and snuff at the end of the day.
