Help needed using Plex app with Mac and my new tv

Anyone use Plex to stream video and internet to your TV? I recently purchased a LG TV that had a feature called Media Link. I downloaded Plex to my Mac Mini as required and set up my account on the Plex website. I keep the message "No Media Server found"on the TV. I have tried searching on Google but haven't figured out what I did wrong. Do I need to change some settings on my Mac?

I had rather streaming wireless if possible due to room layout. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have either device, so I don't expect I'll be particularly helpful, but as a first step, do you have internet connectivity with the TV(not including Plex)? It looks like you need that at least.

Yes, it is a SmartTV (the operator, not so much) with a browser built in along with Netflix and several others apps.

Sometimes, if I forget to record a show on my U-Verse DVR, I will watch the show online. I would just use the browser on the TV but for some reason or another, LG won't update the version of Flashplayer. That is the only thing I don't like about the TV. Everything else is fantastic.

What I meant was can you actually connect to the internet, not just the feature list. It sounds like you can though. Is the Plex server running on your computer?

Yes I have it set up on my Mac.
