    Any bartenders here?

Hey guys - I was just wondering if any of y'all are actively working as bartenders or have done so in the past?
I ask this question as I am most likely going to attend the EBS(European Bartending School) in Copenhagen, and I would like to hear about your experiences in the field.
The pros and cons, and of course I'd love some tips and tricks as well!

        BT Tips?

Dont use the measuring shot. Learn how to free pour your shots.
Use a spoon to scoop ice because you can break a glass in the ice chamber.

Nightclubs are great money but mostly only on the weekends. You will end up working every weekend.

Restaurants, Airports and busy Hotels are pretty steady for daytime work.
College/Youngster bars is a lot of beer pouring with small tips.

It's very uncommon to tip Bartenders in Denmark. Actually I've never heard of anyone doing it.

            I used to work as a bartender when I was 19 - 22.

It's a cool job especially in the summers - Imagine working in Ibiza - all those fancy pubs and chicks

            go for it

Well - I'm thinking of finding one of the calmer places to work the bar.. Or well.. At least not at a constant techno-rave with crack-W****s and Douches..

you'll work nights, weekends, and holidays.

I'd reckon it pays ok if there are no tips involved. You can make killer money in the states if you're good at keeping people happy and don't mind the hours.
