    It's not unfamiliar to me, I wear silver rings and use a special substance to clean them once in a while and that's the color I see on the swipes that I use to clean the rings - there must be a chemical reaction - interesting.
    Hate to say it but I'm with precious on this one. Just because one guy somehow someway ended up looking like papa smurf has no bearing on the subject. Their are plenty of people who use it and enjoy it's benefits. I am not one of them but I think everything deserves a fair shake. If the media wants to vilify something by taking a questionable photo or circumstance and blowing it out of proportion then let them but don't let them fool you. There are millions of people who use this stuff and I've only seen pictures of this guy turn blue. Kinda like our friend the "dual user" in the 60 minutes snus hit piece. Just saying. Anyways if there was a picture for every fool who imbibes big pharmas junk and has a reaction there wouldn't be enough room on the interweb to contain it. Point being, do your own research and choose what you believe to be right for you..... Don't listen to the garbage.......

      moreover, who knows what other chemicals he added BESIDES the coloidal silver, and God knows what type of chemical reaction took place. (truly a single picture posted by some bastards from BBC or other news channels that have only one single aim in mind to manipulate masses (anyways) can influence millions world wide.

      ~~~ We live in an era where you need to do your research yourself and try to figure out what's good/what's bad/what's true and what's a scam because the media has presented so many lies whereas most people are living in a big fog anyways.
          He didn't add anything, he just took too much over a long period of time.
          To settle the issue here, colloidal silver does not make you blue, unless you imbibe absolutely ludicrous quantities. It's like cortisone lotion, it won't make your bones soft unless you take baths in the shit...
          This is the name of the syndrome that turns you blue from having too much silver in you, and what MR Umpa Loompa had in the pic:
          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argyria
          And that shit is no joke..
          BigBlue is completely right though Re: "if there was a picture for every fool who imbibes big pharmas junk and has a reaction there wouldn't be enough room on the interweb to contain it."
          Here is some more info:
          Since the 1990s, "colloidal silver" has been marketed as an alternative medicine product, with unsubstantiated, and in some jurisdictions illegal, claims of effectiveness. Medical authorities advise against the use of such colloidal silver preparations, as does the published medical literature, because of their lack of proven effectiveness and the risk of side effects.[19][20]
          Colloidal silver preparations primarily deliver inactive metallic silver, rather than the active microbicidal silver ion.[5] There is no scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of colloidal silver in vivo. Some in vitro studies demonstrate an anti-bacterial effect of colloidal silver,[21] although one study in 2004 of a colloidal silver solution marketed on the Internet showed no such antimicrobial activity.[22] Most recently are claims that nano-colloidal silver products do not cause argyria, this has neither been proven nor disproven due to the lack of independent study either way.
          A prominent case was that of Stan Jones of Montana, a Libertarian candidate for the United States Senate in 2002 and 2006. Jones acquired argyria through consumption of a home-made silver product that he made due to fears that the Year 2000 problem would make antibiotics unavailable.[23] The peculiar colouration of his skin was featured prominently in media coverage of his unsuccessful campaign, though Jones contends that the best-known photo was "doctored".[23] Jones promised that he was not using his silvery complexion as a gimmick. He continues to promote the use of colloidal silver as a home remedy.[23] He has said that his good health, excepting the unusual skin tone, is the result of his use of colloidal silver.[23]
          On December 20, 2007 the world press published stories about Paul Karason, a Californian man whose entire skin gradually turned blue after consuming colloidal silver made by himself with distilled water, salt and silver, and using a silver salve on his face in an attempt to treat problems with his sinus, dermatitis, acid reflux, and other issues. This happened because he drank gallons of colloidal silver per week for years.[24][25][26][27]
            Not sure if being snarky or not. No it is not a hoax, it is part of a syndrome called Argyria which is caused by intaking too much silver. There have been one or two people ever to get this from colloidal silver, and they were really stupid about it. Regular colloidal silver is harmless and mildly effective, but not as effective as most over the counter treatments which is why it was abandoned by the medical community decades ago.
              Guys, here's my point of view - I"m not saying coloidal silver is not good or that is bad (I'm no doctor) but I'm frequently documenting myself on various health related subjects and definitely my number one choice when reading materials is (http://nccam.nih.gov/).
              Here's an article on http://nccam.nih.gov/health/silver, an overview of what it is and what it does to the body.
              Definitely small amounts won't kill you but large amounts can lead to death in some cases.
              Claims made about the effectiveness of colloidal silver for numerous diseases are unsupported scientifically.
              Why take the chance?
              Speaking of numbers, and being a member of almost 10 medical forums, I have read stories from patients with certain bacterial infections that tried colloidal silver with no luck, if coloidal silver was THAT effective everyone would be cured by now - and no one would suffer from bacterial conditions such as lyme, candida, second and third stage syphilis and so on.
              The FDA even warned people about using this substance.
                Would this be effective if you are trying to get blue balls? Is there a way to just have the silver focus on a particular body part?
                  This is a common case of people using leeches to cure things when other treatments are available. It's not that it NEVER works, but we have better ways of treating things. 100 years ago it may have been a good option, I personally have used it and it does "work", but not any better than anything else. It's like when you take "Airborne" right before a cold, it "works", but not really any better than the placebo when studied by scientists. I would stay away from it, not because it is dangerous but because there isn't anything to gain and there possibly is something to lose.
                  Again, I have used it many times with no ill effects, and it may have even worked, but it was probably just placebo.
                    Cases of argyria have occurred in people who drank homemade colloidal silver liquids as well as in people who used commercial colloidal silver products.
                    hope you won't drink too much of that stuff, you might end up like mr. smurf
