Precious, the fact you keep claiming how intelligent you are (even above intelligent!) directly disproves your claims. It has long been known and studied that truly intelligent and competent individuals tend to underevaluate their level of intelligence, i.e. truly intelligent people always think they aren't smart enoughh, while idiots frequently believe they are intelligent. Guess which group you fall into.

It's like singers, a lot more people think they can sing, much fewer actually can.

The actual people who rate above average are a small group. The people who claim to be above average well by numbers would make up the average. If those people had at least taken a course in statistics they would know you can't all be "above average".

How bout this. Every male receives a vasectomy when they're born. This process cannot be reversed until someone is 21(just an example age could be whatever). Teenage pregnancies would be eliminated unless caused by 35 year old pedo's. No accidental pregnancies unless there is a large gap between the male and female in age. People would have to decide they want to have children and get that vasectomy reversed. Reverse vasectomy has about a 64% success rate if i remember correctly. Right there HALF of potential pregnancies are eliminated and the population is reduced. No jobs but many people looking? Boom gone.

I think the thing with stupid people having children is more educated people take advantage of birth control and plan their families more carefully rather than "shit think im pregnant."

I actually agree to a point that something needs to be done about overpopulation. It almost makes me wonder if that process has not already been started with secret Eugenics programs or just a natural human thinning of the herd scenario. People are dropping like flies left and right. Disease have risen quite rampant. I also know many women who have had 3 or more stillbirths.

I don't think you understand the terms properly. IQ or intelligent quotient in quick simple terms does not test how smart a person is. What it tests (and poorly at that, standardized or not) is the ability for someone to attain knowledge, as in how fact you can absorb a new concept. So if you have a high IQ but never do anything with it you will still be stupid. And someone with an average or even low IQ could learn particle physics but it will take longer and more work. In short it is the rate at which someone can attain and recall and apply knowledge. What most people call "smart" in society or "intelligent" is usually a reflection of perceived knowledge.

But here is the thing IQ can change. Your brain can age and not be challenged and it gets lower. Additionally the brain can be trained like any muscle and the synapsis and neurons learn to fire faster and make better connections.

But even more so IQ has no determination on your contribution to society, there are people out there with high IQ's doing crime and/or menial jobs, and there are people with low IQ's doing charity work or in positions of power and prestige.

He is SO intelligent in fact that he can not even comprehend it when I try to explain that IQ quotient tests, like many other standardized or non-standardized tests, are not a good measure of ACTUAL intelligence. Everyone knows this, we just use IQ tests because it's the closest, most consistent thing we have to measure general intelligence, but a high score != an truly intelligent person, nor does a lower score mean someone is stupid.

Just to clarify I also don't believe in forced sterilization, I thought thundersnus was joking. Increased amounts of endocrine disrupting chemicals used for agricultural purposes is probably the reason for increased stillbirths. Or some sort of chemical our bodies are not able to metabolize.

There's not a scientific consensus on intelligence, unfortunately. Because there's not a concrete, agreed-upon consensus of what intelligence is, it's impossible to assess how well IQ tests measure it.

One of those who scored the highest IQ is the daughter of Mach. She has an IQ of a little over 200 or so. She is married to a man who didn't score very high and was rejected from every medical school in america that he applied. That man made the artificial heart. She writes a column in a magazine. Interpret this as you will.

An IQ test, sgreger is the exact genuine test to determine intelligence. (don't ever tell your kids otherwise)

And please educate yourself on what intelligence means and make the difference between the two terms: "intelligence" and "education".

Have you ever asked yourself why IQ tests come with a time limit and why you're given logic puzzles to solve? Don't think so. Well, that test measures the exact speed at which you can attain the information. ............ if you have a better test for intelligence than all of us have (IQ) then please reinvent the wheel ;-)
