    Match Game 2012

Back in 1999 I was driving in Fremont, CA and noticed a large banner for a young girl needing a bone marrow transplant holding a registration drive. I figured it a good idea and pulled over, signed up and gave them some blood to test. Unfortunately, I've no idea what happened to that young lady, she was and is a total stranger. Every once in a while the donor matching people send me an email asking if I'm still here. This morning I get one informing me that a doctor has chosen me as a possible match for a patient! Nothing definite yet and my chance of being the final donor apparently is 1 in 12. The procedure does not sound like fun but I really hope I can do it to help someone that need it.

      You made my day man

I lose a little bit of hope everyday for humanity, then I read something like this and am filled with hope.

      Thank you brother.

That is awesome! A world full of people like you would be a world I would want to live in (unfortunately I wouldn't be there though lol).

        Very cool

Thanks, I feel very excited to be even this close to helping. However, the world that is described would have a serious snus shortage so I'd have to pass, too.

No GN, just really excited. To be truthful I have broken one of my personal guidelines in speaking publicly about this matter. Having slept on it, I really wish I hadn't.

That's pretty awesome. I don't see me doing that for someone I don't know. I'd do it for as casual an acquaintance as a coworker I liked(Maybe even one I didn't like if I thought about it), but you're taking it above and beyond. You're a good man :^)
