I don't live in Carolina, Jersey or Washington, but I'll take Wa over three Carolinas or Jersey. It's one of my favorite places anywhere. I'm trying to move to Seattle actually.
Hey, if I'm a hippy for loving authentic and readily available Asian food in my area, and for defending my hometown against absurd accusations from a guy from new Jersey, throw me my Birkenstocks and call me the ****n Bagwan Sri Rajneesh.
Bro, our family is all about the Pho and the Dim Sum. Damn asian wives lol. China Town is up to it's teeth in Dim Sum around here.

There are a lot of fine communities in King County to live in, all within short driving distance to Seattle.
You're welcome here anytime with open arms!

I love me some hot Pho. Beef tendon with basil, bean sprouts, and rooster sauce (Sriracha)... Tasty!

Ah, but do you know what streak o'lean is, no google...

There are only two Carolinas, and one of them (South Carolina) is the NJ of the south. I would take Haiti over NJ. Growing up outside NYC was an experience but for the most part it is nice to visit or drive through. There are nice areas but most of the time it just sucks. This site sums it up well:
Now the North Carolina on the other hand, it is a very nice place. Yeah it gets humid in the summer, so you just roll on out to the OBX. Or the Blue Ridge Mountains if that is your flavor. Economy and tech sector is pretty strong here. And being this is a forum about an oral tobacco product, well this is a state where it is acceptable, easily acquirable, and cheap. Heck I drive by tobacco fields regularly.
Winters are mild at best, mild enough to year round commute on a motorcycle. BBQ is why god created the pig, and Eastern Carolina style is the best...
North Carolina is nice, although it is a weird mix. You have some backwards bible belt mentalities, and if the yankee transplants I moved away from keep coming here and turning every corner into a boring a$$ strip mall we will keep losing the local culture that makes this a great place to live. I like the south because it is laid back.
And Roo seriously I am joking. Well except about South Carolina being the NJ of the South. I mean that, hhehehehee.
I know you're kidding Ken, no worries. I gotta find something to respond to here during these long days staring at a computer. I've never even been to North Carolina, and I will assume for now that you have not been to Seattle. Stereotypes are fun! And no, I don't know what streak o'lean is. Do tell...

Nope, heck farthest west I have ever been is Chicago. Work keeps me here too much. I will get out there soon enough on the bike sometime.
Ok Streak o'lean, there is fatback, and there is bacon, streak o'lean is in the middle. It has a little streak of lean meat in it.

Ken
Yeah I know there are only two Carolinas it was supposed to read like I would take one WA over five Carolinas.... I have spent lots of time in all of the mentioned places except NJ, and North Carolina is very pretty up in the Mts., Cashers, Highlands areas Nantahalia river etc. etc.... but I would not like to live there, but to each his own. I've lived in humid hot weather all my life and personally I am ready to be done with it.
It's the same country damned country!
And don't you dare talk about a lot of rain! I live in Denmark, and if anybody knows rain and rough weather it's us. Well apart from the people up in Northern Norway, Northern Sweden and Finland.
But we have it pretty damn tough as well!
