Oh I don't think you are giving them due credit considering they did this almost 10k years ago. I mean just understanding the math necessary to chart this thing out, and then not really having much of a literate population or anything but still pulling it off without slave labor is pretty damn impressive for the time period. -

Well literally no, but figuratively yes as the subjects were required to participate in this homage to their holy ruler. Like the site precious linked states they were probably more peasant farmers from the kingdom than true captured against their will slaves. Absolutely, pretty much every culture had slaves up until present day lol. There are in fact more slaves today than at any point in history, though that is only because the population has increased so one could say there are more X than any point in history for just about anything.Originally posted by precious007
