Audit the Fed’ bill advances in House

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...dvances-house/

The House oversight committee voted Wednesday to demand a broad audit of the Federal Reserve system by congressional investigators - a major move lawmakers said is designed to bring accountability to the murky workings of the independent board. The bill was sponsored by Rep. Ron Paul, the Texas Republican who turned the push for an audit into a powerful campaign slogan and whose criticism of the Fed’s monetary policy drew hundreds of thousands of voters into the political process. It passed by voice vote, signaling the growing sense among lawmakers that the time has come for a full review. Committee members said they hope for a vote in the full House next month, and the legislation has been sponsored by 263 members, virtually assuring its passage.

It's like auditing the CIA, the things that really need to be audited will be hidden away until after the audit is done. I am not even confident the audit will show anything relevant, but I vote they do it anyways.

My guess is that we will find out who the paid off insiders are as it gets closer to the Senate and then only a miracle will get it accomplished. I agree though it is kinda like the missing trillions being investigated by Rumseld and then BOOM! 911...

There is so much corruption it is almost unbelievable if took the time to look into it.

Plus it's always a question of, "Who will audit the auditors" kinda thing. I don't trust them to investigate themselves. By them I mean any part of government. They don't have a great track record.
