My morning is just ruined lol

It feels like my A/C is going out. It's not getting as cool as it should. I have to go to work at 4pm, and I'm worried it will get too hot for my dog in here. I guess my mom is dog sitting or I'm calling in :/

Well, if it's cool enough, it should be ok for the dog. If you can keep the temp under 90F, that's uncomfortable, but perfectly livable. Sucks having the ac go out though. Livable can still be pretty miserable.

You could cool the room 3rd world style. Tack a sheet up in a doorway, and put the bottom in a bucket of water. Then blow a box fan across the sheet, and you should get evaporative cooling :^)

It looks like the outside unit and compressor aren't running. Maintenance can't be out to fix it until tomorrow. It's a two-floor apartment, I've got all the blinds pulled closed and it's supposed to be 96 today. It's 90 right now. Will my dog be alright while I'm at work? That's really my only worry right now.

LOL, I have none. If I did, I could just take them to work with me. They won't crap in the lawn and hump people's legs lolol.

Can you take your dog somewhere else before work? Imagine how your boss will feel when you call and say "I can't come into today because my dog will be too hot" lol. Good luck!

It didn't get too bad in here, it's better insulated than I thought. I have a question though: If I open the upstairs windows, will it let the hot air out?

Woohoo! It's fixed! It was totally screwed too. Compressor on the outside unit went out, killing the capacitor and a fuse. So there's a whole new outside unit lol.

Glad to hear the problem is resolved

Man I just spent the last week with my in-laws……….they live in PA farm country…..105 degrees and they don’t believe in air conditioner……………holy crap

That said…..in the future.........and I speak from experience here..........just leave the dog with the hot chick two doors down.........he will be fine..........trust me......
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

He is in Kentucky, that may not work if their humidity is anything like here in NC. Sump or evaporative coolers only work in more arid climates, hence why they are more common in say Arizona.

Oh man :/ But hmm, If there were any hot girls nearby, I'd try to stay with them along with the dog haha.

Yeah, the humidity is terrible here. I wouldn't bitch quite as much if it wasn't do humid lol.
