Honestly, I enjoy the olympics. I don't get all worked up about it, but it's cool to see all these countries coming together, even for a competition.

Yeah I like the Olympics a lot. The NBC coverage is often annoying but I can get past it. I have the table tennis finals all cued up on the DVR, gonna beat off to that shit>

I also like them. I catch the video replays online. I love seeing the dedication at work with these kids. Amazing.

I've been watching it a bit, even though the NBC coverage is absolutely horrid. Women's volleyball and swimming FTW.

I have to admit I like the sport and dedication factor. I'm just so sick of Nationalism and Hype it get's on my nerves.

Try living here in the UK!! It has been Olympic this, Olympic that for the last 4 years none stop! I watch the tennis, swimming, show jumping, eventing and cross country (horses), cycling and 100m final, thats it for me. I must say though, the buzz over here has been amazing and I loved the opening ceremony. I thought the almost 24 hr coverage on the BBC would annoy me but it has been fine, done a good job so far. Only annying thing is the ticket fiasco, as I applied for many and got zero, now there are all these empty seats at the events I wanted, grinds my gears!!

Couldn't care less. I was at my mothers a couple nights ago, and half watched a couple events. It was a distraction from my computer. I don't like watching other people play games, and don't care who wins.

Different stroke for different folks, the majority of it I couldn't care less about but I love tennis so if I could or had to only watch one it would be that.

I don't know how Londoners are dealing with it. I can hardly think of a worse horror than having the Olympics come to my town. Getting your life turned upside down so people can play some games :^D

I hate the way the Olympics works as a sporting event. Diluting all the events in to one great mush of sport nobody's heard of!

I'm not a great believer in the free market - but sports is one place where I think that the number of consumers should relate to the amount of coverage. Games like tennis and football (soccer) are popular worldwide because they are fun to watch on lots of different levels and rightly they are very popular. Weightlifting and swimming are not such a good watch because they are one-dimensional and lack interest. Gymnastics and figure skating are beyond my comprehension!

One thing is for sure ... I'm going to be avoiding London for the next month or so. I don't care for it much at the best of times!

Sometimes wrong and sometimes right .... but ALWAYS certain!!!

Yeah, I read about that. Typical of corporations. Buy up a ton of tickets, never use them. Next time they shouldn't be able to buy any at all. The citizens there should have first grabs before some corporation.

The stupid ticket lottery is partly to blame, you had to select the tickets you wanted, give prior authorisation on your credit card, then you knew what you got when the card bill came in! They could have just put them up for sale like normal events and people would have been happy! Also it seems to be the olympic comitties from the other countries who have ballsed this all up rather than the corporations. Durka drukastan buying all centre court tickets then not using them to make some kind of political point, f-cuk you!! I could have had that ticket, bastards!

Oddly, when I have been down I haven't noticed anythign different, at times I could actually get on a train, others its just normal. Lot more people in tracksuits about though, so it is even more confusing trying to spot the ones trying to mug you! lol

The build up for the last few years has been infuriating. Now that the actual competition has started, I'm loving it. I always enjoy the Olympics.

My freeview box got 20-odd dedicated channels for the BBC Olympic coverage overnight, so it's easy to pick and choose events to watch. I love the gymnastics, track cycling and athletics. The horsey stuff is pretty good too. Oh, and the boxing and weightlifting.

As someone who couldn't a rat's about football, it's great to get to watch some less mainstream sports, and the BBC coverage is brillliant - they've got some great commentators and pundits who really give you the information you need to understand and appreciate what's going on.

I'm commuting into London every day for work, and there's a great buzz about the place at the moment. It's not as busy and chaotic as the pre-olympics scaremongering would have it.
