My sister and her husband are all about guns though, they even have a bomb shelter. I used to laugh about it but if anything does go down I'm driving straight there lol. Good thing shes not far away.
It has been stated that the military are very big supporters of Ron Paul and have contributed more to his campaign then to any other Republicans in earlier years. If there ever was a federal squeeze I feel very comfortable knowing that many would turn to the revolutionary side. Which means tanks, helicopters and hospitals. Turf for turf battles with quite a few farm boys who can shoot straight. This will be quite a task for any military force to deal with. People are waking up everyday and it is just a matter of time of when? not if? it will happen. Unless some major innovation happens and everybody is somewhat happy with their lives and the government again. Maybe the 2012 conscious shift is about quelling all of that into a more positive energy but the world population seems to be rising!!!

As always in these threads about liberties. I feel compelled to reply. If I can save just one then its all good.

If someone could give me one good reason to ban guns I would be all over it. The people who want to ban guns always use crime as an argument. Using phrases like "If we make guns extinct then crime will go down". But every one of you on this board knows full well that removing guns will not reduce the crime, it will just change the name of the weapon used. Education possibly could reduce crime, but would still be imperfect.

So what would reduce the crime. Its simple... separation. We keep all humans fully separated from other humans at all time. no contact... ever. Since a phone call could result in assault or send someone over the edge all contact will need to cease. Procreation will be predetermined and you will never know your partner, or your child. By keeping all humans completely separated I submit we could end better than 99% of all crimes. I think my plan is the best one since it reduces crime by the largest margin.

I read what some of you big government guys on this board spew, and it leads me to believe you were beaten and ridiculed up a lot in high school, couldn't find a sexual partner, and have been reduced to trying to mandate what others do by law, since they obviously wont listen to your wonderfully flawed logic. Flawed logic is simply put in this sentence " Crime will be reduced if gun rights are restricted". I have no idea how anyone can even think that way. If I want to kill you and a gun is handy then that's probably my FIRST choice... however if I am warped enough to commit such an act, then I doubt I am opposed to a knife, a car, poison, or any of a host of other heinous choices.

Why does anyone think that even one life would be saved if there were no guns in citizens hands?

While we are on the subject, if this post makes you mad enough to kill me, the please use a gun, and aim properly. I do not want to suffer through knife wounds, or be beaten with a tire iron. I dont want to survive only to discover my tongue has been cut out and my male organ has been shortened. I dont want to have brain damage and drool on myself and this keyboard more than I already do. If your going to kill me please use a gun.

I understand why people jump all over gun control, in theory it sounds good, but this is not elementary school, and no one listens to the teacher here. This is the real world and those who break the law are going to do so regardless of what is says.

The reality is.... You can punish the crime, but unless you are a god, you cannot prevent it.

Okay I think this is medically necessary the girl at the front will get you your paperwork". I was like, "lol no way this is the process?".
To add on what I said earlier, there are a few doctors here that are being a little too loose with their authorisations. I wish Jim the best of luck as he goes through the process... I warned you, Jimmy. By all means, refer people to your clinic, but don't peddle authorisations at Hempfest. Either you didn't listen or your secretaries tossed it out. Oh well.

The state Department of Health has charged two naturopaths with unprofessional conduct for operating an “assembly line” practice of authorizing medical marijuana at last year’s Hempfest.

The charges, filed Tuesday, appear to be the first disciplinary action taken against a state medical professional for a medical marijuana authorization, said Tim Church, a DOH spokesman.

The two naturopaths, Carolyn Lee Bearss and Dimitrios Jimmy Magiasis were featured in a Seattle Times story last August in which a reporter received a medical marijuana authorization for $150 at a Hempfest tent. Bearss recommended marijuana as treatment for the reporter’s lower-back pain without seeing medical records after an appointment that lasted 11 minutes.
During Hempfest, the two naturopaths saw a combined 215 patients and recommended marijuana for 213 of them, according to the DOH charges against Bearss and Magiasis. The charges accuse the naturopaths of stretching the definition of “intractable pain” – one of the qualifying conditions under the state medical cannabis law — and of failing to explore other treatment options, as also required.
The state medical marijuana law protects medical professionals from criminal or disciplinary charges if they follow a set of rules, including completing an exam and documenting other ways used to treat “the terminal or debilitating medical condition” other than marijuana.
