The circular wing type of aircraft was tested at one point but ultimately was shown to be less effective than the modern jet design. Also I can't see the one they have pictured as having VTOL capabilities as there are no induction fans or anything on the wings and those never worked veryy well on the circular wing (flying disk) aircrafts anyways. The germans tried making one under hitler, as did the russians, canada, and the USA, but all of them couldn't get to high or fly very efficiently. I doubt this one could do anything, it looks like a cesna with a bodykit or something lol.
