Here's one for the first timers...

A little background info about this movie: Mike Clattenburg released a short film at the Atlantic Film Festival entitled "One Last Shot" back in 1998 (at the moment, there are no copies available).

One year later, this film was released at the Atlantic Film Festival.

Barrie Dunn (the actor who plays Ricky's father, Ray) convinced Mike to take the Trailer Park Boys to television. They originally arranged an appointment with the Comedy Network, but it fell through. Mike suggested they pitch the idea to Showcase. While they were still in Toronto, Barrie called the people at Alliance Atlantis and showed the film to the executives. One of the execs, Laura, showed the film to her husband and he loved it. Shortly after, they got the green light, and in 2001, the Trailer Park Boys premiered on TV (Showcase).

... and the rest is history.

(You'll notice that the story arc of this film, and the TV series are completely different. But the characters remain the same, except there's no Lahey, Randy, Sarah, or Bubbles [Mike Smith is holding the mic, and he can be heard taunting Ricky and Julian in the background])

I think it's my favorite show ever. Probably got tuned in on it from a link from here a year ago. Watched all episodes and movies real quick. I like it because it's crazy and real. Reality is nuts!

It is surprisingly real. It's like a minor caricature of things I've done, and people I've known, but definitely real :^D

Strangely, it makes me want to live in a trailer park :^D

Yeah cute as hell was a bit of an over statement. I'll concede the variable statement. But when she looks good she looks good and i wouldn't pass it up given the chance especially if I was living in a double wide....

I was just getting ready to edit my post. Sarah(redhead) is the friend of Lucy(?) who is Ricky's girlfriend, right? If that's the case, I'd have to agree with you. I think she looks pretty good all the time. No raving beauty for sure, but a solid, good looking girl.

Correct sarah is the redhead and lucy is a blaaah. Reminds me of skeletor......
