Old dude runs down bicyclist

Police are looking for an elderly, white, gray-haired man who, in an apparent fit of road rage, chased a bicyclist onto a golf course in Santa Rosa and ran him down.
The bicyclist told Santa Rosa police he was cycling down Pythian Road at about 5 p.m. Wednesday when the driver began yelling at him and tried to hit him.
To get the angry motorist off his tail, the cyclist told police he raced onto the nearby Oakmont Golf Course. But the driver steered onto the course and continued chasing him, eventually hitting him before speeding away.
The cyclist had moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He described the driver as an elderly man with gray hair, and the car as a gold or beige sedan similar to a Toyota Corolla.
The sedan may have a broken passenger side mirror, police said.

This is near me and happened not long after another cyclist was killed in Fountaingrove. Its sad people cant learn to share the road. Also, they caught the guy.

I went for a ride the other day and nearly got wiped out by a cop doing like 60 in a 35 with no lights on. Would of liked to have had a camera rolling when it happened.

but blue if you'd been hit and avoided major injury you'd be getting Rich in a few months. being taken out by a negligent cop and shaking off yourcuts and bruises is a fast ticket to financial stardom I would imagine. glad you didn't though.I now know how it feels to get annihilated by fast moving vehicles and it's no joke. if only the douche who hit me had been a cop or a cab driver in stead of an uninsured low life... I'd be on vacation in Bali right now.

At least 60 mph from behind dead on it would have been my ma making the money and that's only if there were witnesses. Don't even think he woulda stopped because he definitely wasn't chasing a speeder or something. Like I said no lights. Close and fast enough to actually make me wobble. Was not cool.....

The cop would have probably planted a bag of crack and old rusty gun on you Blue and then they would have said that they mowed you down with their car in self defense. You would have had to pay tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees and pray you only get a light sentence.
